Hi everyone,

Some months ago I downloaded a very cool file for MT4 which added the daily pivot points plus R1-R3 and S1-S3 to the charts. I can't seem to find it even after searching the forum. Can anyone remember it or if you have it please attach the file in a reply.

Many many thanks!

Hi,

it was in the "coder's" section, which is gone now. Here's the file again. I've added Monthly Pivots to it too. I haven't tested the "Monthly pivots" yet, so let me know if there are any bugs.

Take care

Once you get the file in the experts/indicators/ file, you can put in on your chart using the menus at the top, or drag and drop it on the chart out of the navigator screen. Sounds like you're 90% there.

Well, I'm not a programer, and need help with the AutoPivot. I copied the file to the editor and have it in the Custom Indicators. When I try to add the indicator to a chart, nothing happens.
I'm lost at this point.

Thanks,

Did you restart MT and try to attach it?

Try copying the MQ4 file to the experts\indicators directory and restart MT.
Drag or right click and attach the indicator.
When you attach it to the chart you should see a properties window which you click OK on?

I just tried the indicator in this thread and after installing it I had to change the time frame in order to see it. This is probably because the market is closed and there are no new ticks.

I use this indicator, I don't know it's method of calculation, but it has different pivot points, they also seem to be good.

I would be pleased if you comment a bit about it. I just got it and still testing it

Hi all,
I guess my problem is understanding how to move data from the MetaEditorto the Navigator. I downloaded the file and it comes up in the MetaEditor and then I compile and it shows no errors. Ok, at this point I don't know how to move it out or the MetaEditor. Do you highlight, copy, paste. What is next.
Any help is greatly appreciated......I'm new to this program.

If you have it in MetaEditor save it to c:\program files\MT4\experts\indicators directory. Note the c:\program files\MT4\ part would depend where you installed MT to and the \MT4 would vary depending where you downloaded the MT program from.

Thanks

Your daily auto pivot is so powerfull and very accurate. I've been using it for two weeks now. What i want to ask is do I have to re-insert it at the beginning of every trading day?.

Hi ezekiel,
No, you don't. When you close MT4 and re-open it, the indicator should still be on your chart. Even when the new day/bar starts, the indicator should update automatically. Here's the link to the latest version, if you haven't got it already - AutoPivotIndicator_ver5.

Great work Habeeb....just what I was looking for - Mid Pivots and all...Regarding the timezone dilemma - is there a way to make it so that it takes the standard timezone time at midnight + a certain number of hours as defined by the user? For example to get 00:00 est on my MT4 platform, it's the MT4 brokers time + 5 hours. Is there a way you can put that in the script and note where the variable needs to be edited then everyone could simply edit it by adding or subtrcting numbers in the MetaEditor to get the desired time when the calculations are made.Or do you know the code so that I myself can do that? To me it's never been the timezone difference but when the calculations are being made to suit the timezone the MT4 broker is in.Hope you can follow all that
