What I do when ever I get a signal of crossing or bounce from watchdog or TDI in H4 or H1,
I start checking in that pair, in all D, H4 & H1 and
I want to confirm at least H4 & H1 in same line while at least D is NOT TOTALLY OPPOSITE [if the D also in supporting to the same direction like in H1 & H4 then SO GREAT]

if the above setting is available is happening

then I check remaining distance to the Daily Range [if there is more than 50pips to the range limit I go as it is, if it less than 50 pips to the upper or below range line [for example only 20 pips to that line] then I still go into the trade but i set auto lock profit to +5 pips when the trade come to +15pips, so still 5pips to go to range line]

further before get into trade i check the price's position and distance to or from 34 & 240emas and S&R

pls don't get confuse pls follow Medhi original method, since you asked I said what I doing ok.

* if TDI Crosses are in opposite side of yellow compared to the trend directions - for example if green cross down but green & red lines are above yellow line in both H4 & H1, I dont take trade the sell trade I need at least the H1 in the side of opening the trade but better if both the crosses are below yellow.

I am sorry If I am confusing pls.

I didn't in the last posted trade, that just 0.10 lot in my fok around FXCM account

But usually I use this trade manager as shown but last time I tried the website, it doesn't work

they won't get me for advertising at least..........

It is great, there are 2 lines to drag for entry & stop loss, or you can input the price as with any MT lines

then it shows the Range between the lines, and you can select the trade type as per the buttons as long as you have the lines correct for that setup

The way the lines are shown, Sell Stop would be the logical choice for a breakout type trade.

When the trade is entered, the position size is adjusted for the preset Risk input in the EA, also shown on the screen

* I purposefully closed one trade soon after opened due to lower chance GBPCHF - it shows - 3pips or so
I set to take profit of 60% of the traded lot when the trade gained +48pips
[rest will go ahead but with some conditions...] and
i normally set to lock profit of +10pips when the trade gained 25pips

Do you use a fixed S/L when you first open the trade?

I usually set SL to nearest key point S&R or swing high or low in H1 time frame if there is a near BIG round number or daily range then I move it 10 pips more than those limits, otherwise around 50pips. Hi there,

you seem one of the ones who probably knows what he's doing.

I have been silently following this thread for a little while, today i bought eurnzd but got scared when it went into drawdown and pulled the plug, now i see its in profit

i sold chf/usd and am getting scared again about drawdown.
on these sorts of trades on the 1 hour what kind of drawdown can we typically expect...?

Hi Kain

You are right when we open a trade without a solid background or facts of knowing where the trade MOST LIKELY to go [either UP or DOWN...]
Then the kind of feeling we may have is like GAMBLING......thats not so SOLID!

but if we have feeling that we open the trade with some what strong rational ......
the trade has MOST PROBABILITY to go where we expect and
if so, as we open the trade with a unreachable SL...
we feel like safe... and we can some what strongly believe that the trade will go in our way and
if we open a trade which has shown higher slope / trend in D, H4 & H1... then we can reduce the waiting time to see the result or start minimum lock profit......

even after the above fact .....if we have still some more risk... better to check remaining number of pips through which the trade can go with out many trouble... then set auto stop lock activation - locking profit EA... to activate when the trade pass 75% of that free/trouble free space...
so that we feel the anyway MOST likely the trade will go at least in our way and lock at +5 or +10pips lock profit or go further through the S&R....


* though i cant not say clearly...... we can expect of price draw down around 75% of 1H/4H bar length.... but if we consider and check properly D, H4 & H1 trend properly and make sure it.... we can understand that after some time price will go our way and make sure for us to give at least +5/+10pips..... BUT REMEMBER to not to open trade when it reach the upper or lower line of AVERAGE RANGE... always before open better to check how many pips remain to reach these line....

This is my todays - opened, closed and still running trades....

Edited - I removed previous day's opened and still remaining trades from the chart and updated latest with only today's opened trades!
