swvps admitted today that my vps with them was hacked.
sadly, i could only reach them via e-mail. when i called the 800# listed on their website it went to a generic voicemail. when i asked for the name and phone number of someone higher up the response was "we only do e-mail support." uh, i wasn't asking for support, i was asking for the boss so i could discuss this issue with them.
stay away!!!
my personal opinion is that one of their employees copied my files. why do i say that? because the file icons on the desktop were changed when they used rar to compress the files. there are other signs too, but i'll keep this short.
stay away if you don't want to lose hours and hours of work and if you don't want to have to start over with another vps company from scratch!!!
