Can we keep this conversation going? It is good to learn of a various brokers. It's been a while since anyone paid attention to this discussion. As forex, traders we sorely need it. A number of the afore mentioned brokers have gone out of business or stopped taking US clients (FinFX and others). Please continue to share your knowledge of the few brokers that are still available to us.

I saw a question asked online on another site that was never answered which was this. If foreign brokers allow US clients to join them and use there services, must the foreign brokers limit the US Clients to non-hedge accounts and FIFO and leverage of 1:50? Is the US client breaking the law by trading with more than 1:50 lev and hedging?

I currently use: Tradersway, ForexBrokerInc, and Finfx...all are offshore and good for BJF arbitrage software.

And the ridiculousness continues. Just been informed cTrader will no longer be available in the US. Not that any US broker would ever use it as it prohibits broker manipulation. My offshore broker will discontinue it as well due to spotware not wanting to be exposed to US clients as they are scared away as well. Enough is enough with this bullshit. I do not want to use FXCM, Oanda or Forex.com. You may as well burn your money because they will take it.

Is Finfx taking US traders again? I was with them about a year or so ago and they moved me to Tallinex. Tallinex takes US traders but credit card deposits are not allowed from the US and today I was told by the bank processor of bank wires that they will not honor any transfers to them. Go figure.

I'm new to forex and I live in the U.S. could someone explain what the FIFO requirements are and why some brokers don't allow scalping and hedging? Can someone also please give me a proper definition of scalping it would be very appreciated.

CME currencies. For US residence it is the best option specially if they are not far from it.
One of the down side for non US trading on CME is the latency which is around 100+ ms from i.e. London.

Also for US citizens, options on the CME currencies is something to look into. One other thing to check out would be the "Weekly" binaries at Nadex.

I'm in the U.S and have been paper trading for a couple of years with IB. I was planning to go live in 2017 and now I'm hearing about all of this regulation BS that has restricted U.S. customers from obtaining any leverage while trading forex. Great timing

My question is, why doesn't anyone mention Interactive Brokers for forex trading? Is it because they now only do cash trading? That seems to be the only LEGITIMATE option for us here in the states.

I'm US based and recently discovered lqdfx. Nothing bad to report so far, fast execution, tight spreads and I just made my first withdrawal which took a little less than 24 hours. Definitely worth having a look into. Obviously it depends if you don't mind being offshore!

LQDFX just opened shop this year. Why did you pick them and why do you trust them?

They have been running since 2015 (according to their website), their spreads are extremely competitive, they accept me as a client and their support is excellent.
