I've got some pm, asking for a depth look in how i trade.

English is not my native language, so i got some problems to put words on what i see and think. But i hope it helps.

Great you want to learn, post a screenshot of your trades, so we can talk about them. Remember that we all see some different on the chart. And a entry point from one trader, dont means a entry point from another trader.

A detailed thought process and very much appreciated my friend
I pretty much follow the same thought process.
However I look at the immediate higher time frame for the trend.
Overall picture is determined from W1 when I do an analysis at the beginning of a new week.

Check out my post (#1143) which explains my strategy. I only trade H1 now as H4 didn't provide enough trades and D1 required too big a S/L. I don't sit in front of my pc, I just open it up just before the hour and see if I get an alert. If I do, I check it and take the trade if everything is ok (TDI, stochs, s&r, red news etc). If I'm away from my pc, I use Teamviewer to check my PC if I've received an alert via email. I set an initial S/L and T/P of 50 pips, 1:1. If it goes 25 pips in my favour, I move the stop to +5 and then forget about it. I either win 50 pips, 5 pips or lose 50 pips. Thankfully, most of the time its win 50 pips, but I don't know how long that will go on for.

Hi Shadow, just had a look at the trade explorer and its only available for brokers with MT4. I use a broker with a web-based system along with their mobile app.

Here's one trade I am in using this system - Short GBPUSD. Please do comment if you have any opinion on the entry.

GBPUSD - H1
TDI Bounce trade
Red Green lines below yellow line(Yellow line falling).
Stoch near 50 and falling

GBPUSD - H4
TDI Red Green lines crossed below the yellow((Yellow line falling).
Stoch near 50 and falling

Thanks for posting chart Merrygold. So in the example shown, you would only consider going long on 1 hour chart, because price is above ema 10 on weekly, daily and 4 hour, right?

Still unclear how you analyse tdi on higher timeframes though. Or do you just look at where price is with regards to ema 10?

Another great explanation merrygold and it really is common sense as well just to add, i have studied this all weekend and for me this is the answer, one question do you use any type of sound alert as i find all the TDI alerts are very late, especially trying to monitor multiple pairs, once again cant thank you enough

Such a strategy would result in higher probability trades and filter out the bad ones.

So just for clarity, in that example you would wait for the H1 TDI green line to cross above the red line?

Additional question:
If W1 and H4 are both BELOW 10ema and TDI bearish, but D1 is ABOVE 10ema and TDI bullish. Do you still sell?
And to you, which is more important before taking a trade? 10ema or TDI?
