Similar problem with Forex yesterday as well. Worst thing is when you can not execute a trade when you need to or log on when you need to.

Hey Jason,

just to give you a quick feedback:

I was doublechecking by asking the live chat as well - they told me it would be checked at the end of each month. In case someone else is asking again..

Since you live in Canada, you can open an account with Friedberg Direct (www.fxcm.ca) which will give you access to FXCM's No Dealing Desk (NDD) forex execution and platforms including Trading Station, MT4 and NinjaTrader.

Friedberg is a member of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) and the Canadian Investor Protection Fund (CIPF), so your account will be protected by the CIPF for up to $1 million.

Hi Bardy,

Trading Station already gives you the option of using these custom chart time frames.

For 3-minute charts, type "m3" in the time frame field of your chart tool bar. For 10-minute charts, type "m10". For 2-day charts, type "d2".

Hi Stylinex,

These problems are not similar. In your other posts, you specifically mentioned having difficulty using the mobile app of your broker during "important trade times" by which I assume you mean news events or other periods of volatility.

By contrast Mbt mentioned having difficulty logging into our mobile app for at least half a day. That's a different situation entirely. Please read my earlier response to Mbt where I confirm that no other FXCM clients reported such a connection issue with us suggesting it's a tech issue specific to his mobile device: http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...48#post8933848

Thanks for the update, Drolph. So there's no confusion, I am reaching out the VPS team now to confirm whether the balance check is done on the same date each month or whether the date can vary as I was told previously. I will let you know what they say.

I am FXCM account holder. We know that there is mini account contest going on FXCM with starting balance any where between $50-$20000.However if equity crosses $20000 any of account holder during contest period, FXCM is moving the account to standard. Still he qualify for prize if he is in leader board from 1 to 5th position?

Great question!

As you have noted, a Mini account with equity greater than 20k will be switched to a Standard account with 100:1 leverage (except in the US where CFTC regulations limit all forex accounts to 50:1 leverage), No Dealing Desk execution, and low spreads + commissions. However, this switch would not disqualify a trading account from winning our contest prizes, as long as it began the calendar month as a qualifying Mini account with $50 to 20k in equity: http://bit.ly/1XuWonP

I was keep searching for along Time for a good Broker that offers a swap free account and an e-wallets option for deposites because my country charge a lot for wire, and i was surprise when i found that fxcm uk offer skrill, so i opened NDD account and very soon i will deposit through skrill
since there are no info about it in your site FAQ i want to ask how long it take for deposit and withdraw, and the fees for Both.

I'm interested in upgrading my mini account to a standard account. I read that there is a $2,000 minimum balance for standard account. What fees are charged for balances that drop below $2,000 because of trading losses or withdrawals and how often is that fee charged?

I just contact FXCM for the same question and the answer is if your account falls below $1500, they will charge $10 per month.

Skrill is available as a deposit option for FXCM's trading entities worldwide with the exception of FXCM US. For verified Skrill accounts, deposits and withdrawals are typically processed within 1 business day. Deposits initiated via Skrill to FXCM are subject to a 1.6% plus $0.29 processing fee which will be assessed to the deposit amount upon receipt of funds. For example, a $100.00 deposit via Skrill would be charged a fee of $1.89 meaning you would receive $98.11 in your trading account. Hi Numbrcrunchr,

As Littleart said, if your Standard account balance falls below $1500, you will be charged a $10 fee per month.

What do you advise the setting for Max Dev be? Currently 1.

A maximium deviation of 10 points on MT4 equates to 1 pip, so a Max Dev of 1 is only 0.1 pips. That's why you have been getting the off quotes message so frequently.
