Which is great since Gain Capital are freaking crooks, they are market makers and do EVERYTHING to make you lose (speaking out of own experience and that of many others). Slippage, stop hunting, all the tricks are there. They deserve to be closed down.

On the ecn platform, manipulation comes from the liquidity providers, not the brokers. If the liquidity provide pull the plug, reject orders(= requote), hunt stops, or freeze platforms. There is nothing the broker can do.
A LP cant stop hunt since he cant see your SL price. ONLY the broker itself can see that on the MT4 server part. But any order the broker then sends to their LPs are seen as MARKET ORDERS by the LP, hence no LP is able to see your stops since MT4 server just sends the LP a market order if your SL is hit. So if you get stop hunting on an MT4 ECN broker, its NOT an ECN broker but a market maker.

Apart from that LPs can reject indeed, but that does not result in requotes on a ECN but in slippage since the next LP fills the order at a worse price. If you get requotes on a ECN, it, again, is NOT a ECN. And its in the brokers best interest to talk to such LPs if they reject often to bring that down or to kick them out - does wonders!

Well it's not surprising if this is what Gain Capital really does to its clients. I mean traders today are lot more informed and smarter than 10 years ago when retail forex really started; we can tell if a broker is a market maker. And from a realistic point of view, when you are not making any money, why would you want to stay with the broker? You won't be able to anyway even if you want to, because the broker would've taken it all away from you in trading against you.

Hopefully with this http://financefeeds.com/no-trading-c...-investigates/, brokers like Gain Capital will be gone for good!

But curious enough, did you guys notice the guy who started this thread, Yunben, claiming he lost $200K profit due to confiscation by Forex.com is now labelled as a "Commercial Member" by FF. Hmmmnn....

trading is hard enough than have to deal with dishonest brokers as well,
it is a shame crooks like that are allowed to operate.

Good observation... I also noticed he is banned. If you go to his page and look at his shouts he has written a message saying he is banned.

I don't think Yunben is banned from FF; he might have mistaken being labelled as a "Commercial Member" as being banned or he might have been temporarily suspended before he was labelled "Commercial Member" and he might've thought his suspension as being banned. They do temporarily suspend a member before permanently re-labelling a member but after re-labelling a member as "Commercial Member", they DO lift the suspension and the member now re-labelled "Commercial Member" is free to post again; I have seen that happen. If he was really banned, it would show on his status as "Banned". I have seen that shown on members' status too. He was just been labelled "Commercial Member" which is to alert everybody on FF that his posts might have a commercial agenda so to sort of take his posts with a grain of salt but he is still free to post anywhere he likes on FF with no restrictions.

It is still quite puzzling though why he would be labelled as a "Commercial Member" after he just posted a personal story of what happened to him by forex.com.

makes three of us. Also, since I had about 10k, and probably much more stolen from me recently by gain capital I'm considering filing because this is just absurd bullshit. I have everything recorded as well. All the bullshit pauses, spikes, and weird shit. I have videos that show me 700 pips in profit and now im wondering if they didn't just ruin everything so i didnt realize the extend t which they royally fucked me. It almost drove me crazy, and these fucks need to go down. Let's get our money back + much, much more.

A LP don't see the identity of an order, such as name, address so the LP can not force a specific trader out of position by push the price to stop loss and then reverse. As for the LP, do not see the stop loss, are u sure. A LP has a dealing desk just to do that kind things. Security is one of the benefits of trading with ecn brokers.

The thread seems to have been moved to the commercial section (which nobody ever reads) as well.

It's a sneaky and underhanded way of silencing yunben when really this thread should be stickied on front page to warn other traders from forex.com.
