What Would You Do Differently Today for Better Trading Results?

Same thing I do every day, becoming patient for the market to present an opportunity with high probability where a plan can be created to where price will go. If price doesnt do or go where it should go, the position is closed and seeking patience again presents itself.
Learn, a forex trader must, unlearn and relearn he will.

If you do not take posts by other members at a personal level, the hostilities will not bother you. You can't stop what others do but you can decide how you react to the strangers post. How and why such internet stranger dish out hostilities is never your business.

As to hostilities, we are made differently we see things differently no two person is the same. If this forum is about members exchanging niceties all the time, it won't be fruitful. Where there are challenges, opposing and contending views, only then can we cull the best and worst from both sides. In this robustly contentious environment there's more to learn unlike the other where everyone is in constant agreement, no gainful progress is made.

Points noted; still make FF more wholesome. Nothing personal about any posts or persons but the constant fouling of the FF community is not what any sensible and wholesome trader has come here for. Lol

About patience,

I find it funny why a lot of traders mention about patiently waiting for the next high probability trade. There's this description about how they read the fundamentals/news, scan the charts, analyse the market, wait for the right high probability setup......

Question - why don't we write indicator or set of indicators which triggers the alert when whatever we physically stare at the screen comes aligned ?

In this way there won't be mistakes of missed opportunities, error at screen staring or cheating due to impatience, not exposed to temptation to make trades outside of that intended, prevent revenge trading or over/undertrading, save yourself from sore eyes/bumps and a whole host of many other benefits.

Haha what if I told you the coding for something like this would be thousands of coding lines ?

Well there's ferru and his fellow colleagues at our disposal. Just kidding.

I guess I trade by a mechanical system with small discretionary element, it works with my style of trading. About that thousand lines code, I rolled up my sleeve to learn how to code and manage to write up codes that scan and another that execute and manage my trades. This way I am pretty distanced from the market minus the usual psychological impact. Just sharing if another trader may want to go down this road.

Skyway, even the coding requires patience. At any rate, what did you learn recently that could make you or other traders better in trading FX? What would you do differently?

At this stage, I am pretty comfortable with whatever I do, I do the same boring stuff daily. What I seek is to eventually take myself out of the entire trading process. I learnt that time is the most precious important gift we have and if I could that's how I want to do it differently many yesterdays ago.

The beginning of another trading week brings with it the usual challenge to trade better and get good results. Lessons learnt last week or recently would come handy in this process. Is price everything? Last week I learnt that price is not everything. Yes, price is important. From pa you understand the market structure and can make sound trade decisions. But there is more to that. For me, beyond price, timing is everything. This is what I learnt last week. What about you? Is price everything? mental balance is important: for me this means finding the right mix between short term trades and swing trades (of which I have fewer but better signals)

Each trading week presents its challenges. Are you doing anything differently this week to handle this week's challenges? Did you learn anything last week that could help you trade better this week? For me, I learnt the use of a confluence of weekly pivot and 4-hourly s/r zone. For example, I will now be interested in entering a trade when a pair retraces to a zone which integrates the weekly pivot and the immediate 4-hourly s/r zone. If there is anything you learned recently that could benefit FF members, share it here.
