lol no, the ea stopped working 3 months after i started trading live. from 5k i went to 7k then 9k then 14k in the third month as expected, but when the recession started in august 2008 the ea passed the max drawdown set in the last 10 years of back testing so it went back from 14k to 8k in the third month then i stopped live, went back to demo and guess what: since then the ea is not profitable anymore, the market pattern changed. dont ask me why but i think big banks discovered it and started generating randomness to stop this method from working... conspiracy theory, yes i believe in it

i never ever found or know of anyone who found something similar... by the way my ea is attached in one of my last posts today in EURUSD forum ...

Micho, did u find what is changes in market behaviour that change your good EA results to bad?

i cant really explain in details but my ea idea was the most silly simple idea in the whole world... yet so powerful...
the market seems to respect regression channels and diagonal moves more than before, for instance instead of consolidation in asian session the market keeps on trending much more than before

Are you trying new EA? I am new here in FF but I think I had great ideas for EA. I still can't post my own thread due to newcomer no permission to post.

hmm, looks like you have a huge drawdowns there, about a quarter of the account, what happened?

Sad to know its not profitable anymore , but at least you made 8k Keep trying and you will make a good one , focusing on edge is the most important thing, wish you luck.

remember, it does not work anymore after 2008. you need to test from 1999 till 8/2008. dont ask me why it stopped being profitable, i dont know. probably smart money realized the idea behind my orders and introduced counter algorithms, i dont have any other explanation.

also remember that such codes are very hard to find which means you most likely will never see any profitable EA with such results for the rest of your lives so please keep the hopes low but never surrender

The EA have some kind of coupound interest formula micho ? Because i can configure the entries and other stuff like money management and try to do something good out of this. Cant promise nothing , but i can try at least in changing the EA to give him an edge.

i tried everything over few years, it either works in its pure form or does not work at all
try to test from 99 to 2016 and see what im talking about. the market volume increased dramatically in 2008... could be introduction of trading bots using specific algorithms to mess up patterns

you need to use the most accurate testing method in the tester otherwise the results are incorrect

dont try much on this ea, i tried everything. it does not work anymore. its the best ea i ever used or seen but its past....
also there are two testing methods for my ea, one with linear gain 300 pips averages and 10% max drawdown per month
the second with optimize set to true to produce exponential gain with averages 25% account size per month and 10% max dd per month. these tested live, demo and backwards 10 years on eu, gu, uc, eg 5 mins chart. it does not work after 2008 recession
