You don't have to stick to futures anymore. I have been trading futures lately with a couple of "Funded Trader" prop firms. Now there is a FOREX funded trader firm available for forex traders with talent. No need for futures platforms. Just MT4. crazyoz posted them to chonchy so I checked them out.
Having been through the whole process from combines to funded I am thinking of starting a thread to discuss them all.

Funded without a fee? My financials are battling at the moment and I live in AUS so with the currency conversion Topstep trader is pretty difficult to keep on top of. especially while I'm trying to perfect my new and improved strategy.

Please, start that thread, I'm sure not only the retail traders would get something out of it, but also the firms would have easy pickings for who was trying out. Have you ever tried out for a company like SMBU Capital? I heard the trials are intense! plus I read their newsletters and training information.

Never heard of them before but on checking they are same as all the others conning you into "Training" as a lure. I have scrutinized all I can find & only 4 cut the mustard including the new forex one. http://top50fx-traderfunder.com/

Except Mike Bellafiore works there, and every time I sign up to a Prop firm for a trial (barring Topstep) they ask me if I have read his book "One Good Trade", which seems to be like a bible.
Plus some people join those trials just for the education provided, and then even if they get offered a position, they turn them down to continue elsewhere.
Do you trade FX and futures? or more FX?

50/50 now but mostly futures the past 3 months. With futures you don't have the spread problems but the platforms & data fees etc are on the nose compared to forex with free data, exchange & platforms

I​I'll be honest with you guys I feel like giving up at the minute. I've been through several course and I am not out the stage where I am trading only forex and I am using techniques and strategies producing good results. 40+% in 2 months. I am confident in these and a lot of others use them and if only I lived 600m away then I would have a junior trader job. I don't and that means that I have no money to back myself and don't know enough about prop firms to get funded. Can anybody please help me and suggest what to do? I live near Manchester England and there are hardly any people trading in this area and I'm struggling to further my career in trading. I am willing to do support roles with mt4 or any such role within a company but I cannot find any. I want to trade and prop trading seems to be maybe the only option. can somebody please advise me where to go from here cause I feel like iIve made such good headway only to stand in front of a massive wall.

Have you tried for a prop firm? They are simply an employer looking for the skills that you seem to have with a 40% ROI.How long have you been doing this, and did you get into it for the money, the lifestyle, or was it the freedom? Best thing to do, is write down what you want, break it down and build on each little thing, while you keep a record of your progress. That's what I do daily.

A girl I know was at uni and didn't know what trading was and then was asked to start bookkeeping at a large prop firm. Then I believe they asked her to do the trial, she had little to no experience in it but she got through and is now getting funded to do a job she didn't know existed. I'm no use to you trying to find an FX prop shop because I'm afraid I'm never had a trial at any.
it's all about opportunity and who you know in this world. My mentor is currently contacting the firms he knows and I'm trying my best but at the end of it it's all about timing and opportunity. We will se what comes of it. I have been giving top50fx a think but not sure how legit this company is.

bro, if possible i suggest you backtest your trading strategy first, then try trade with demo account to learn / verify your trading system work or not.
Learn how to control/ manage your money management for each trade.
I think it is a "must" for you to survive in "forex" world.

It has been 49 months since I picked up my first trading book and 27 months since I learned of the Foreign Exchange Market (and trade it exclusively.) I have not really lost any money to the markets as I have been in the break-even phase for the past four years during my development as a trader. For December 2016 - December 2017, I have taken 103 trades and have ended the year in +$78 (BE). I have been surviving the markets as I develop my inner market wisdom/experience through constant chart time. You must first survive the market before you can begin thriving in it. Today, I was looking at my journal/notes from two years ago and comparing them to my recent notes and it's amazing the evolution that takes place. The notes from two years ago show my trading system changing on a weekly/monthly basis and some other flaws that new traders often make. The more recent notes shows a defined trading system that I know will have some bad weeks but I have finally accepted that this is part of the game. If your money management in intact, you should come out on the profitable side in the end. It will take years of persistency for a trader to overcome the threshold of consistency. It's all about pattern recognition and I'm not talking about the ones that are found in every technical analysis/trading book but the pattern recognition art that only your brain is able to identify from the constant chart time it has been exposed to. Your newfound perception is unique and you start becoming synchronized with the market dynamic/structure you see on a weekly basis. The day you have created/mastered a defined trading system (and have the discipline to trade it) that is compatible with your unique pattern recognition art (in the market you trade) combined with an optimal risk management is the day you will start to make money.

After 8 years of learning about myself, it becomes normal to turn 2K into 12K in a year or 4K into 50K in 18 months, this is with a 50:1 leverage

So continue your pains taking trip, If you can't double $200, don't start with 5K or 20K to learn with on your journey......................
