This looks interesting and fits what I do which is trend line, s/r, and fib.

Some things I am looking at with Cycles and Fib Channels also look up Larry Pesavento, and Fibonacci Queen, interesting stuff

looks like the price will bounce up on the energy point/confluence level. What do you think..

How do you suspect they were drawn?

I've never actually thought about it - do you have any ideas? One of the things I like about median lines is that there are objective rules about how they're drawn - of course knowing when one has a valid c pivot is an issue but the rules are still clear and allow one some objectivity. It's too easy to put lines on a chart and see significance in them. I've been Adam H Grimes blog. He does a thing where he takes a random chart, takes the bars off, goes to a random point in time and draws some horizontal lines and then puts the bars back on. He then shows these lines appearing to act as support/resistance with price apparently respecting them - but its random.

So I'm suspicious of lines - I know I can get myself in trouble paying too much attention to lines - they can shape my perception of PA and structure - a chart looks different as soon as I add a ML with a slope to it.

I digress - I'd be interested in your thoughts.

My guess is he floated the pitchforks from their original locations and anchored them to (unknown) points on the chart. I have tried this myself with mild results.

Applying some of the methods of W. D. Gann, is it possible to square a pitchfork? If so, how would it be done?

It's the unkown points that concerns me - I think ML are powerful as a way of measuring the market - we know that price should reach the ML of a ML set drawn off 3 alternating pivots - that's a powerful piece of information - (I particularly like failures - the other 20%) - anchored on unknown points does the ML set have the same probability??? And unless the means of deriving those points are consistent then surely we're just curve fitting - it may or may not work but an inconsistent method would make analysis of the results impossible
