Would it be possible to code a dynamic CCI indicator? DCCI
my idea for this is a self adaptic period CCI, with dynamic lines for the 100 and 200 levels floating on the price chart.
to calculate the best period, it would use cycles, for example, if the last cycle was 25 bars, it would shift to 25 periods once a cycle is completed.
a cycle would be completed when a high or a low of the old swing is violated.
the floating levels could be calculated using 50% from the last swing, this would be the zero line.
and then the 100 -100 is 50% of that half swing, and the 200 and -200 is the 0 and 100 % of the last swing.
once the swing is completed it again would recalculate using the same method.
note: I'm not sure the calculations of the levels is correct,
maybe someone have a better idea?
I noticed that many times they are diagonal not horizontal as I did
This would enable technical analyst to know where on the chart the 100 and 200 levels is-
with a great deal of more accuracy, with the current CCI this is guess work.
it would look something like the picture below,
used a modified fib tool.
