Haha no 100 lots here. A measly $2 a pip. I was reading online and people were suggesting that I increase my deviation. (Options>Trade>Deviation by default>3 pips)

I'm still getting rejected market orders after making that change. I'm wondering if that setting is for pipettes and not a full pip. I will have to research further.

I'm with Pepperstone and did not have any issues so far. Which broker are you with?

GBPUSD trades for 4-6-16

#1 - +0 - Don't know what the hell I was thinking entering so late in that down move. I blame it on not having coffee yet. I quickly realized I was an idiot and pulled out.

#2 - +2 - I tried to get cute and short back to the trendline. I manually moved my stop realizing that was a dumb idea.

#3 - +41 - Third times a charm. I was hoping for a pullback to the trendline. Bullish pressure/Stoch/MacD was strong so I took the trade. Got out at BRN/S&R/Fib level.

I have tried trading D30EUR but the 100 spread is a killer. Is the DAX30 something different? What Spread are you guys getting on the DAX30 spread. Does anyone know of a broker that accepts US citizens & trades the DAX30? Finpro only list the D30EUR.

Last trade, unfortunately BE+2. It looked tempting, but my SL got hit. I am posting to show the logic for entry, regardless of result.
First, I noticed a long Hdiv on 10 pip chart and the Stoch starting to leave the OB area, indicating a potential new cycle. On the 5 pip chart it was a divergence(sto+macd) with a 2B pattern. However, this did not come at a brn or S/R, even though the 200ema (10) is rather close. I waited it out to see if a 123 would form and it did. My target was optimistic - Daily open line that is between 168 and 200 extension.
Anyway, once i got to BE+2, i went afk and returned to a BE+2.
In hindsight, i probably should not have taken the short trade considering the recent breakout.
Comments and critiques welcome as always.

I would not short it after a run-up of that magnitude. The trend has clearly changed, or at least the bears lost significant ground.

I agree, luckily, no dmg done. I should have really considered it a CT trade and probably not taken it...or at least sought smaller pips. I need to work on this.

Yes, that could be. That happened to me out of the sudden, and as it was repeatidly, I asked support and told me to use 30 (3 raal pips in DAX and DOW). I'm with FXCM too.

Dax 30....... scalping the Renco 1 chart for 16 minutes..........+4 +2 +4 -5 +3 +12 +2 +5......there were a few other trades in there that duplicated......total 34 pips......I can not explain how this works and trust me after 30 minutes of this i need a break.....My broker does pay out on these trades and in fact their take on the 12 trades taken during the 16 minutes was significant. I find any slippage evens out over a dozen trades......One thing i do as far as managing this is to drag the stop to BE+ 2 or so as soon as profit goes to plus 4ish.....i am not for a second suggesting anyone try this....But it is a good mental exercise in PA trading...

Dax 30 +26......macd divergence on the ren 10 got me interested......dropping to the ren 5 I thought the platform had frozen but scooting down to the REN 1 told the story......Price was struggling to improve any more so I entered as it broke below the mini range it was temporarily bound in...same story on the exit...Just posting all 3 charts hoping it tells the story better,,,,,,,,,The ren 1 and 2 charts are not just scalping tools....they can compliment the 5 and 10 Ren charts as well..........////i guess the lesson here is to use all the time frames to get a better picture and to sharpen the skill sets........
BTW....my broker made a tonne more cash of my scalping episode earlier then on this trade.
