got into this trade which was not planned originally...my actual play should have been US oil but I missed that set up

not confident with this trade and took 30% for+20 and stop was hit at b/e with the remainder (5min chart)

taken 20% off a/u on H4 timeframe...the only pair left beside this is e/y which is in slight dd...time to call it a day..trade carefully as fomc next

Thank you everyone. @pips29.I enterd this trade and held it and my stop loss was hit on the 2 red lines.How many pips and how long was i to hold the trade.How can i know when to exit or the trade has lost its momentum.

I can't figure out your entry/exit..I see one green and two red arrows..can you please point the entry /exit..I will reply after fomc...I am staying up for a short while looking for cheap sale

blueseal, I think you were too caught up with indicators and not looking much at pa..It's easy to talk in hindsight but just looking at the chart you posted without even referring to htf, the day low at that time can act as support and in many of my trades I would have taken some profits out at that juncture..if price breaks it then you can look for the last swing low as your next target..Unluckily for you price stood firm and reverse from there..There were possible long entries which I pointed out and if taken would have put you back in profits..just don't trade what the indicators show, look at where price may stop...i.e s/r. If indicators are the only tools required we will all be billionaires by now and there will be 95% winners and 5% losers..I don't know your risk tolerance but that trade could be a 10 pip winner..You got to know how many pips you are willing to risk and set a r:r of 1:2 or 1:1.5...if you are 90% correct in your trades then a r:r of less than 1:1 is equally justified..You have to build a system around what you are seeking...no one method/system fits all, so don't be fooled...my 2 cents

got in short u/chf with 100 pips stop and 200 pips target...let's see (15min and daily charts)
