Could easily see that happening, but the various players need to come together (the Saudis and Iran). I assume the OPEC/Saudi plan is to curtail production just enough, but not too much for a "shale oil" revival ... .

Oh, wow, nice downward channel on that second chart ... .

Looking at that chart makes me think about how much more of a "horizontal" trader I am with options as compared to when I used to trade spot forex or when I scalp /ES. With options setups (usually spreads), I'm looking at setting them north or south of clearly defined support/resistance and things like channels or trend lines don't necessarily inform that very much for me ... . Naturally, when scalping, whole different ball of wax ... .

Amazing with all that wealth that they couldn't hire someone to ballpark (in some "crude" fashion -- pun intended) what given output would do to price and when they should stop with opening the spigots so widely ... . News about the lifting of Iran sanctions, for example, wasn't a closely guarded state secret; perhaps they just played the "ain't gonna happen" card, went all in, and got f'd on "the flop" ... .

In the end, the market will do what the market will do ... . Latch onto big name (AMZN, GOOG, etc.) success to move the market, ignore/downplay/spin the rest ... .

my observation is market using very low slope trendlines.so that 50/50 fit to horizantal setups

you're welcome.....earnings season coming up, ZS will prolly have options plays on some of those names - I myself often have trades running in AAPL & NFLX, a few others. Do you trade any options or just the shares?

that is the plan, to ride the bounce up,and to get out as soon as i see a reversal.
the 1.10 spread was due to the market been closed overnite.but as soon as the market opened the spread got real.

comoestas it looks like crude getting bid well overnight will gap the spoos up 10+ and the ^vix will gap down. What will you do?

I will hold my call option ,until price hit my stoploss Max risk full premiun.
i still have 20 day before expire, so if VIX fill the gap, price could still bounce from lower level.
trading options is not like trading forex, i will never get a marging call if i;m wrong my max risk is under 500
