well, I say that but I myself have been filling wide June ​UVXY call flys for the last weeks - the beauty of long vol trades, to some extent anyway, is you will see options values pop on big vol spikes and so you don't have to be so precise with your strikes if the pop is big enough.

took a very short term of 3 weeks and only a long put for now for $14 put at 5c, look for short slow bursts towards 10 or 11

LULU's actually looking fairly good for a play premium wise. Its IVR is nothing to write home about (54), but it does have 50% plus IV (the IVR is somewhat messed up due to a mid-Feb IV spike, so sometimes it pays to look at historical IV to see if the underlying's current IV is high relatively speaking or not). The April 8th 53.5/67.5 short strangle will bring in about 1.20 ($120) in credit per contract as it stands now. I can almost squeeze a 1.00 out of a four wide IC, but have to go out to April 15th due to the spacing of the long put strikes below 53 or so ... .

That idea's so ridiculously simple that I may have a go at it (cheap long puts) ... . I looked at virtually every setup, but never considered just buying cheap puts ... . Yeesh.

AGREED, I hope CG got in that for 5c, by the end of day Apr $14 puts were $0.05/$0.15....Apr is just 15dte....

SCTY ER 5/3, the Apr5/May1 calendar makes money in the Apr5 week or puts you in a May1 strangle for the ER show.......I might skip the puts if the call calendar only debits 5c

ain't traded NUGT in years, but I see put fly opps (think cheap) - gold should slide in a riskon spell

Sold RUT April 15th 1025/1035 short put vert for a 1.21 credit to complete an iron condor for the short call vert I rolled out and up yesterday for a credit, so now I've got an RUT April 15th 1025/1035/1105/1120.

Whole thing/either wing off at 50% max or whatever suits my fancy ... . I'm thinking of these short duration buggers as scalps (money, take, run).

Stupid thing's got $18 worth of theta/contract in it.

didn't come close to filling NUGT, SCTY spreads - will keep an eye on em. Yellen cooing sos and lemmings stampede to the punch bowl, just need oyul to come along, rally on a weak usd etc, and we can get this flatliner kicking again.

Fahhck. Guess it's not a bad thing, but out of the RUT April 15th 1025/1035 short put vert for 50% max on Janet jawboning. Will add the short put wing back in tomorrow ... .
