VIX/VIX derivatives continuing to slip here ... . VXX down to 18.5 or so, so I'm not seeing this "poised for poppage" yet. http://blogs.barrons.com/focusonfund...rrons&ru=yahoo

trying to fill Apr IWM bull vert calls, $113/$115 for 24c. (filled)..............a little more ^vix slippage and I am out of Apr SVXY $45/$46 bull vert calls - in for 18c, out at 90c.....

my fear is UVXY will drop far enough - ($15 maybe?) - that they R/S it and mess up all the Jun call flys I have been putting money in...

then again, if UVXY survives without a r-split, you could buy otm Sept calls in the $20's and see them go $30+ itm this Summer as the world implodes

/NQ will have a close above dma200 today and join /ES and /YM who done that before... IWM is lagging so I like your idea. It can try to catch up with the others.
If it going to catch up, then the ~114 area might be a magnet for it. I have bought a few spreads myself, but Apr 113/114 fo $0.16 debit.

Thanks mate. But I think no matter what the equation are, it shouldn't be just by calculating 17,557 - 17,050 = 507 points loss right? As I know, delivery was USD 10.00 only. Frankly said, this broker is still a fresh broker and my company having a contract of hedge fund with them. Hence, I don't really believe on their calculation. Could anyone point me to see what price on 17050 on Mini Dow March expiration value?

well sure, if the shtf in a major way - who knows, UVXY could easily go >$100 in a real quasicataclysmic week or so.....just mho, it's never a bad idea to have something riding on an extreme vol pop, even if it is a long shot.....especially if you can get it on at reasonable cost....

a UVXY May/Jun $40/44 call diag, add the May $39/40 long vert for some Big Kahuna insurance and to buy back some margin, if May doesn't see a vol spike you are left with the $44 long calls for another month to Jun opex

will be looking to take long VOL calls next week may have to take a series of them ranging from 3 months out to a year, short term volatility is just about ready. Love to see VIX near 12 just for a short term play of 3 months

yawn.....only one 2-day run of daily red candles since 2/9.....I suppose we can afford another one?.....we'll see tomorrow, maybe oil slide will continue and help out, Fed heads talking about ooooh big bad rate hikes, I'm so scared.....maybe I better but on some Apr expiry long vol trades....?
