Disliked{quote} When people say that they are profitable in demo but not live, I think there is perhaps an over emphasis of the psychology element, probably peddled heavily by the brokers. I have always tried to say, maybe it's not you.... well, now the truth is out. No broker is going to manipulate a demo account; after all, they want you to be profitable, so you open a big fat live account with them, then they probably let you win a bit, get your confidence flowing, so you "invest" even more money, then.... guess what? This is what I do and I have found...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Correct about the demos, however, your live account will still become a victim of the "plug-in" parasite software as these software impact the executions on the live account (even if you copy the trades from a demo).Ignored
Disliked{quote} Yes. Funny how my live accounts never perform as well as the demo but at least I get the trade in. I use limit orders and when I was trading off live, many a time, price would go straight through it, reverse and not hit, or miss it by less than a pip. Another strange thing that kept happening - about half of my losses were taken out by tips of spikes. Now I don't get that anymore.Ignored
Disliked{quote} I still maintain that there is no foul play. When you trade real money in amounts that mean something to you, you will trade different than on demo. Most foul play allegations are selective perception mixed with deflecting blame.Ignored

Disliked{quote} That's really interesting. I have had similar experiences. Especially in ranging, choppy market conditions. They can't do anything to you of course in strongly trending conditions - perhaps the only time to trade I think. Sentiment is so strong and the flow so fast one must win. Problem is, those times are rare!Ignored
Dislikedwell since this debate has switched into a Broker discussion, l'd like to add my grain of salt and tell you about my personal experience. when i opened my account, few years ago everything was fine, the execution was excellent and so was the spread. my strategy was really dependent on it, as a scalper/spike trader every millisecond count. my first week of trading was a grate success, i made 100% ROI, every trade went as it should. the second week....things begun to go south, i experienced slippage on most on my trades i lost a big part of my profit...Ignored
Dislikedthe particular system had been producing very favourable results ,so i have been left with some dought as to the integrity of them, somthing i have not thought in my previous years with them.i have had to change the way i trade that method as a result and use a diferent broker .Ignored
