Hi Dee - trust you are well. A couple of years ago I worked out a similar strategy and turned a 1K account into 18K in ten days scalping like hell with 200 / 300 trades a day. On the third Monday I qot re-quoted and slipped to hell, so I took out most of my winnings and started researching a different system. As you have said, I was taking from the broker and at least they allowed me to cash out.

PS On starting to play catch up with your thread I see that you have been looking at S&D areas - earlier this year I spent some time researching Hidden Gap's WRBs and his Delta S&D Areas, so I take a closer look at what you've found.

DAX +28 + 31 +35 +36, not too bad for a late morning, still some work needed on the exits on the scalp front.

GER30+69+39+20. Not much to say. Classic Divergence @ Major S&R, then a perfect 123 @ BRN. The only thing to take note of, is that PA is very jittery the only way to deal with that is to get to BE and then leave it alone, in other words, TP or BE nothing in between. The Horizontal Red line is the Daily open line, a notable BRN 10,000, just above it so this was a pretty obvious place to get out, holding on for more at this point would be stupid.

From my own personal point of view, I found the S&D zone boundaries were where I would have drawn my S&R lines anyway, so rather than fill a chart with lots of coloured boxes I decided to stay with what I have been using for years, but that is just me personally.

I really do not want to comment on my lot size. Its not relevant here....There is a trade size that will make anyone's​ gonads shrivelThe trick it to stay with a trade size you are comfortable with.
Lets say for arguments sake it is 100 lots per trade. With the Dax hovering around 10k thats a buck a lot per pip or 100 bucks. Rack up 100 pips on a 10k balance and the account doubles. Now the idea is to protect the profits so pull 10k off the table and reset to a 10k account size. Repeat. Then repeat again.....how long it takes you to net 100 pips is not important. What is important is you have protected your profits. If you do this often enough that big lot trade takes on a whole new perspective. Blowing up a chunk of a 10k account is not the end of the world if you have pulled 20X that over the course of a year..
If those sounds like scary numbers then knock a zero off of it and and use 1k as your starting balance.....or 200....the point is use the leverage afforded us...its an opportunity.....
Think about this for a second....A 10 k account traded at 100:1 for 100 pips a month will let you live anywhere in the world.....here in the Phills it only takes a $2000 bucks a month....for a life that`s hard to describe[in a good way]

Looks like you will have difficulty getting a response to this question, because it is pretty much a matter of personal taste. What other traders feel comfortable with.
First you need to decide are you taking the signal from a 5 pip or 10 pip chart.
Technically, I would not choose the First Opposite Candle for the simple reason that the market cycles and depending on volatility you could get an opposite candle every 10 pips, the term Jack Rabbit springs to mind.
If you are entering based on a signal from a combination of indicators and PA, why would you not close on the same basis.
The fixed SL and TP is favourite because it is simple, however, too large a TP and you will end up bailing on a trade too often, too short a TP and you will end up cursing that you missed too many pips.

Are you one of the ones that has a pip target for the day, is it large or small? this obviously has a bearing.

Yeah, I've been doing a lot of thinking about it. You don't really need much here either, to make a great living. Thanks for the clarification.

I have been thinking about it also.

I want to live like a king as well but I do not want to have to wear a dress and stick close to the Air Con to do so, I am also a bit concerned about going to the witch doctor for medical treatment but I suppose eventually I would adapt, assuming that I lived long enough to do so.

amazing to see you hold that during the pullback.. out of interest, I'd noted (but missed the trade completely) potential exit was at 161.8, just wondering your thought process for ignoring that and holding on for the rest of the move

The problem with 1 dimensional trading is you miss the bigger picture.!!!

I haven't come across the method that you used to identify the 161.8%, can you explain it for me, is it part of one of the insect patterns??
