Fiasco oftet happens In forex. This causes people think about "to do as the successful trader" . The market is formidable, a lot of traders, but some of them can earn .

If you cannot prove it, then it's a belief. and I am ok with that.

No Ming, actually I can't. You can't "see" the chart, and there is nothing I can do about that. Until you get busy learning how to correctly see a chart, I am afraid that you will never find those Unicorns. Whether you think you can or think you can't, you will be right.

Trading is a complicated business. You have to find the right combination of pairs to trade. You have to know when to trade when you do see a signal, you have to know what the indicators on your chart do until you graduate from that. You have to get your money management right, you have to get your profit taking right. And then, there are all the false leads. The scammers. The promises of a million in two months. Trading is a lot like driving a car, however. At some point it will become automatic.

The journey maybe a dream but the path is not impractical. Its not a dream like walking to the moon or flying to the sun. You will have to differentiate between dreams.

When Theory of Relativity was proposed by Einstein, he wasn't able to provide any evidence but only logical explanations. If the scientists at that time thought like you, don't know what would have happened. Luckily they were wiser, because something was logically proven they accepted its authenticity.

When I was in college I didn't knew any PhD scholar. I could have said they didn't exist. Bring one in front of me with evidence or its a mythical creature or figment of imagination. Why would a PhD scholar need to prove their existence to me?

So, sir, why are you avoiding the action I am suggesting? If you are so sure about their non-existence, why don't you announce a reward of some sort?

With a starting balance of 5000USD, is it possible to become a millionaire trading forex from a retail broker on the MT4 platform?

Maybe not on your first 172 lives of trying, but on the 173rd life you just might.

Everything is fractal. People accept they will have a losing trade, a down week. After 27 years of trading you might of had a bad year or two.
Hell, this might be your down lifetime. You could do the same thing 30 lifetimes in a row and come out in front but this could just be the down lifetime. That sucks.

If you placed a trade with a 3 pip sl and a 300 pip tp and kept placing that trade the same time everyday on the same pair, eventually... after many, many stop loss being hit...one of those trades will eventually go to tp.

Trying to make a million starting with 5000 might be like a trade with a 3 pip sl and a 300 pip tp.

hello,
Even i planned to quit forex initally beacause i played in total luck. Intially i was also lucky as i doubled the deposit in just 10 days but when it comes to losing i had lost everything in one trade. But i am back now. i use to put lot of positions in trading, now may each and every trade entry and exit are on the basis of technicals and i never go against the fundamentals. So forex is not bad, its just the hard work you have to go through in order to make trading skills more furnished.
Now i have not only receover my losses but also i am on better edge here. So never loose hope. Give more of your time to understand market rather than trying your luck.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "trader at home". I expect that the scenario of the person who starts with a $500 deposit and, trading his own FX-only MT4 account from his bedroom computer, gradually increases it to and beyond $1m, would be extremely, perhaps impossibly, rare. The traders that I know have leveraged their trading activities into full-fledged businesses -- through, for example, fees from managing others' money, partnering with or employing other traders, introducing more capital by selling other trading related products, diversifying into other markets or investments, etc -- along the way. Even with an arsenal of solid strategies, trading still involves a significant degree of risk and high personal stress, and income can be erratic, making additional income streams a compelling option. Having a spouse/partner working a regular job, or concurrently running other businesses, can also help to alleviate some of the pressure. Hence, in these cases, the reality is that the $1m+ gained is not strictly all personal forex trading-related income. But they are millionaire traders nonetheless.

There are also bank and institutional traders who are paid large salaries. The highest paid of these would also qualify as trading millionaires, even if they don't operate from home. For example, John Key, currently NZ's Prime Minister, has a net wealth of more than NZD 50 million, most of which he reputedly made as a forex trader with Merrill Lynch.

You are correct forex is not for everyone. Forex is made to be the in thing to trade , but its not for everyone. I gave up forex and started to trade the indices(DAX,DOW) . The price action on Indices is much better if you combine SPX,DAX,DOW. They almost follow in sync and trade opportinuties are better compared to forex.
