Rule general is to buy when it touches the lower band and sell when it touches the upper band (areas of overbought and oversold).
But by changing some settings and waiting for the candle opens and closes off, increase the opportunity for gain.

The only problem is that opportunities are few, the majority is positive, but do not know how to react when the price is against, and then how to manage SL suitable.

before speaking, occurs with the correct settings, and you'll see that most of the cases the price comes back, great for scalping.

My Experience using BB :

If you want to trade bollingers band , from my experience is you need to have an MA to be your trend, so you only trade following the trend, not buy and sell, but only one direction.
On Bullish scenario , you buy when the price hit Middle Band, then rebuy on Lower band if it reach the lower band. Take profit on the upper band.
It works for me , and I scalp using this until now.
Biggest Mistake ? Over Leverage

i checked the method

if you pick all signal, may will be false signal, unless you incorporate other filters.

-the problem is identifying whether the market is likely to trend or range in the future. In a downtrend, price candles will tag the lower BB for extended periods of time and remain below the 20 sma.

The idea is worth looking at, the Bollinger Band indicator might not be what you need. If you are looking to swing-trade in a low volatile market, I'd suggest using Donchain indicators. They calculation is much more simple and straight forward. Depending on where your settings are, you will get a true touch of your X-period high and low.

See the below example, I've overlapped a Donchian and Bollinger Band indy, both set at 20 periods. Your buys are much lower and sells much higher. You could easily set a buy and a sell order above and below the range with a TP at the opposite end of the channel. Just be aware that you will have to move your TP while the channel moves.

This would be something you could most likely automate very easily.

Looks good on the chart, but can be deceiving when used as stand alone. Take a look at the Similarity CI Method posted by retied2222
& the Harmony Five thread. Try adding those filters shared on these threads & look for similarity of the filters......trade the similarity.
You must pay close attention to what the filters are showing you as some of the similarities will NOT produce a winning trade. Pay close
attention to the direction of the Bollinger Bands when looking for similarity. This is just my view & nothing more. I wish you the best
with your method & your thread.

when market is strong trend,
this method will give many loss.
BB is well in ranging market
