It’s been awhile. Hope the market has been treating you well.
I have something of an announcement to make and I think you’ll be excited when you hear what it is.
As you may know, last fall we began the process of moving to a new site so that I could launch a prop firm, build out a team of skilled traders, and subsequently launch an OPM fund.

2. Syndicate
A syndicate is a self-organizing group of individuals, companies, corporations or entities formed to transact some specific business, or to pursue or promote a shared interest. In most cases formed groups aim to scale up their profits.

So in short, a prop trading syndicate is a group of traders, working together, to trade their own capital for a larger profit then any individual could earn on their own.

Now it may not be evident from the graphic how it works, so let me take a second to explain…
As an individual trader, you have the luxury of not answering to anyone for your P&L - except maybe your significant other - but it’s a double edged sword. The complete lack of accountability means you can, and probably will, continue making the same sort of costly mistakes over and over again.
In my humble opinion, that’s one of the biggest reasons it takes aspiring traders so long to master the trading skillset and begin earning consistent profits.
You don’t know what you don’t know as they say.
Within the syndicate structure, each trader is still responsible for their own account, but by linking their account to the larger group for reporting purposes, they gain a measure of accountability that isn’t possible when trading alone.
More importantly, as a group we have more credibility, access to better tools and research, a better negotiating position for reducing commission expenses, and as alluded to above, a platform upon which we can raise outside investor money.
How It Works
1. Traders open and fund an account with Interactive Brokers.
2. Traders join the Syndicate by linking their account to the Reporting Master Account
3. Syndicate Members trade with supervision of the Managing Director

Security Considerations

So you have nothing to worry about with regard to the safety of your money, your strategy, or your reputation as a trader.
More importantly, the firm is in the process of securing CFTC/NFA registration as a Commodity Trading Advisor, with the Managing Director as a Licensed Principle of the CTA.
What this means, in short, is that we will all be operating within the managed futures regulatory framework, making the firm subject to all the associated compliance requirements.
Not only is this a precursor to launching a commodity pool (which is how we get outside investor money), but should give you the confidence to know that we’ll be crossing all the T’s and dotting all the I’s to make sure thigs are done properly.

Not altogether untrue. Most of the wannabes on FF trade via technical analysis. My predators and I hunt technical trader stops. So in effect, yeah, I do prey on the endless stream of idiots that come here.

I just wanted you to know that I appreciate the wisdom in paying directly for an education rather than letting the markets hand you a series of hard lessons. I signed up and am looking forward to gaining the knowledge and mindset.

Now if I had been here earlier I would have taken up edge540 on his fantastic offer. Since currency exchange doesn't seem to be your thing, that converts to about $1.75 american right? I'm new here, I'll get the quote thing down.

Everybody that chooses to trade has to find their own way to be successful. Most traders never get there. Some very intelligent and talented people have struggled for years to learn to trade. It simply isn't for everyone. I wanted to win "The Voice" and become a successful music artist. But even after years of study and practice, I can't play the guitar very well and since they told me "Thank you ... but No!" I guess I'm too unique for their taste vocally. So I'll make do with just getting rich. "Sigh!" Oh well.

On the path to success, some choose to pay for education that they think will help them. I've done a lot of practice trading. I've lost a bit of money. I've made a bit of money. I know enough to know that I don't really know what I am doing. Will DS's training help me? I don't know ... YET. But I'm willing to pay to find out, because if it helps me become a consistently profitable trader, I'll never regret making the purchase. And if it doesn't? I'll never regret making the choice to find out. I would love to have back some of the money that I've spent on other people's stuff. I would love to have back the money that I lost because I didn't think I needed anyone's help to figure out this trading thing. I am committed to this and need to make it work for myself and my family. Not in a desperate way ... but in a determined way. I sure would have liked it better if some of the other stuff really worked for me. But it didn't. I can plot fibs with the best of them. The way I make S&R zones on a chart is a thing of beauty. Breakouts from consolidation channels? Those fed the family a few times. They also left me saying I'm not hungry so the rest of the family could eat well. (Never did catch on to that only trading money you can afford to lose thing).

We are all traders here. Traders win by taking money from other traders. When my family ate well, someone else was trying to figure out why they lost. When I lost, someone else had a steak on me. I would have enjoyed that steak. I'm trying to find a way to let someone else buy my next steak dinner. The game is rigged so that someone wins and someone loses. The banks don't play the same game that we do, but the money they take from us is real. They let retail traders into the game because they got tired of trying to take profits from each other. So they set up the game for all of us to fail. Guess what? It's working. I just want a shot at winning a little bit. That means playing the game the way the winners play it. Banks are still the big winners in most markets. So I need to play the game a little more like they do. I can't move the market like they can or trap other traders with a spike or a head fake. But I can learn to recognize it when they do it, and get on the right side of the wave. What I've been doing hasn't done that for me. So let me try this. I hope you all have a good day and many good trades.

Don't try to avoid market giving you lessons. Market can (and will!) give you more valuable lessons than any paid service can, as market gives you lessons about yourself, while other ppl give you hints/general ideas on the market. Only you can understand your own limits and your own psychology.

The real secret in trading is, that until you think that there is some "ultimate" or "superior" strategy in trading you will just run form commercial to commercial paying $$$ for general technical / fundamental stuff backed up by some weird "logic"...

would you agree that it costs more money to buy a market up than sell it down.(So it means buyers have to invest more money than sellers if they want the market is going up)?
If that is true than people (and especially typical consumers) have the tendency to buy things more likely than selling things (which is a sign for a good bussiness-man I think because he earns money instead of loosing it for buying things).
If all this is reality in the market (and peoples behaviour) than experienced Traders are more likely selling than buying.

1) Look at the depth of market --> You will see the bids and offers. (Which are usually spoofed btw). Mainly this determines how hard it is to move the market...
2) I think what you mention was only the case back in the old days when the "dentists" (and almost everybody) wanted to be part of the market, and the only thing they did was buying. Pros want to make money. Whether short / long doesnt matter.
3) Markets usually fall faster. (Look at any crisis), but this doesn't mean playing on the short side all the time will give you some edge...

I agree with this, and it gets to the heart of Zachery's question. Yes, I do believe the smart money does more selling v buying. The market changes across time from trending up, to consolidation, to panic falls, and back again. You need different tactics for playing in each environment, but different traders can excel at different aspects. I personally excel on the sell side, get caught in the transitions, and try to recover the transition costs + on the up trends. My buddy the risk adjuster rips it up in transitional markets but gets hung up when strong trends start.

That's what makes a market though. And thankfully we have each other to hold to account.

It really is a shame that FF has degenerated into such a hate fest. It use to be a bunch of cool people looking to help each other find success.

I never really wanted to post anymore on this thread and maybe even FF for that matter. My reason for posting on this thread is because I know it has a large subscription of noobs.

What I will say is that right now we are in the best trading conditions that I have experienced in a longtime. There is LOTS of opportunity out there right now for the taking. Instead of spending your time reading this thread or any other for that matter along with paying for mentors and signal providers, you should be learning how to make the most of it while conditions last.

To add to this watching a single product in an environment like this is just not the way to do it. You should be watching EVERYTHING. Anyone who claims to be a mentor/teacher should be banking big bucks in these conditions over multiple asset classes...
