I was wondering if anyone has been able to execute larger lots like 10 lots on a pair like eur/usd on ecn brokers such as pepperstone or ICMarkets without much latency or slippage compared to a conventional lot size such as 0.1 lot?

I cant speak for those 2 brokers but 10 lots should be easily executed as the banks usually stream that size into retail as standard.

If you are consistently then you are being gamed.

Thanks lasty. For that kind of lot size which broker would you recommend that offers the best spread and low commission?

OK for spread you will probably get 0.3 -0.6 on eur/usd.
Anything less you will be b-booked.
There is no issue with that but if you make money the broker will then push you to STP and the "real" spread comes back into play
Commissions vary from $1.50 per lot to $3.50 per lot
It depends on your turnover and you can probably haggle if you are doing some good size
Make sure the broker is regulated and well capitalised.

Good luck with your trading

Don't mislead people with half-truth arguments.
A low spread is not strictly connected to the market-maker/ECN business type of your broker. Generally ECN/STP leads to floating spreads. But the range depends on the volume and liquidity providers available, not the "status" of your order execution within your broker. On EURUSD u can have average spreads between 0.2-0.4 outside of heavy news like NFP and interest rate decisions on several brokers.

It is more important to have a reliable broker with good reputation, as even most ECN broker are allowed to b-book u. No connection to the spread needed. I would advise to check the spreads on myfxbook and verify possible candidates via FPA.

U can PM me, if u want my personal advise.

All you have done is made an excuse for him to call you to benefit yourself financially.

Another claim far away from reality - just ask him about the financial benefit i had by giving him my personal advise based on experiences of a long journey of try and error.

On the other hand your argumentation simply was misleading. Matter of fact.

10 Lot on EUR/USD is not large. It's just a million, peanuts in an ocean of money, one pint of beer against an annual output of all european breweries
That said, I can't speak for those 2 brokers but it is always a good idea to pick a proper broker and a better platform (than MT4).

I won't disclose my position size here but it is a multiple of 10 lots and I've traded those positions on ordinary MT4 brokers too.

agree 10 lot is nothing. You will still get slippage either way up to 100-200 lots. After that they wont let go any larger.
All posts are my personal opinion

Drolph is right, you cannot blame one for not sharing his view in public.
After all the forum is crowded with trolls.
I can second that he is not looking to benefit financially.
Traders make money by trading, trolls make money off newbies.
