If you aren't lazy and have at least some degree of love for finance. If reading ZeroHedge doesn't bore you to suicide then you might have a chance.

Just read my post on page 9. I felt ripped off. Beside the money I felt more ripped off that he wasted my time. The more he typed in the chat the more
it seemed he was trying to convince himself that he was what he was advertising. But I paid so I stuck around (wasting my time)
and was polite. The site has been up for a while now, if it impacted anyone's trading (especially their bottom line) there would be fan boy's from every corner
backing him on this thread. But there's not......

I've said it on the forum somewhere else lately, but I haven't entered a trade in quite some time and just come back to the forum to see if anything has changed (pro-tip: it never does), so on that basis I will say no... and a part of that is because of what I said to you; I find finance utterly boring - like watching paint dry. One of the things I learned from DS and others is the level of understanding required of what's happening around the world.

That's a reflection on me alone.

I'll say this to you and anyone else: If you can't afford it then it's not for you. Don't break your bank trying to buy mentorship. If you aren't already a type who has successes in life, enough to afford this type of thing, then you probably aren't the type who will be in a position to benefit. Trading isn't for the desperate - it's a business - and the price tag on services is a pre-qualifyer that will keep a lot of people away, on purpose.

I haven't posted much in a long time, thought I'd throw a little nubfrosting on nubcake's post, as I agree with most of his last points.

However, I haven't been around DS' latest site, or even the first site for years. I originally purchased the book with chatroom access, and eventually won some mentoring with DS himself. Unfortunately, the mentorship didn't do much for me, not because DS doesn't know what he is doing, but more because I didn't need to learn more about trading, I needed to develop more of my mental trading muscles.

The honest truth is that DS is a great trading resource, but like any person, he has his struggles as well. IMO, some of the risk here is more tied to a business model of teaching trading, rather than the actual trading education DS can provide. Let's not forget the majority of traders fail, regardless of how fantastic their trading education was.

I am not going to make a case for whatever is being promoted on the latest site, but I will say that I learned a ton from DS personally, his book, and the traders in the chatroom. Heck, even after getting kicked out of the chatroom (I developed a conflict of trading interest over time), I'd say the original price I paid was well worth what I received. People need to remember that knowing how to kill the markets is not synonymous with being able to actually do it. In other words, some of us have genius level trading IQs, but our emotional IQs can't support it to profitable execution; our trading can only rise to the level of our emotional development. Over the years, I've become more and more convinced trading has much more to do with a person deeply understanding themselves, vs. having a "PHD" in markets.

P.S. Whatever trading performance is showing on my trade explorer should not be construed as a reflection of DS' education or trading as I do my own thing these days.

Good comment. If you ask elite performers in most fields - businessmen, musicians, athletes etc. most will tell you that they love what they do so much they would do it for free. The money, the fame and the chicks come later, but if you are motivated by those things you won't make it that far - those who reach the top of their fields are almost always driven not by glory but by a deep passion for what they do.

I happily spend hours on end poring over central bank speeches, trade data, fiscal policies of various governing and opposition political parties, staring at various economic indicators and trying to imagine the relationships between them all - stuff that normal, well-adjusted people don't give a shit about. I don't do it for profit. I do it for fun, I do it because it fascinates me - I was doing this shit long before I started trading and trying to profit from it.

When I post fundamental stuff around here it's hard to argue against people who question how they can get an advantage from every report, every speech, every news event, every shift in an economic indicator. The only answer is they can't. You just need to take a deeper interest in this stuff, and when you have followed enough indicators and read enough reports for long enough, it all just kind of clicks into place, you start seeing how things fit together and where things need to go.

I would encourage the naysayers to consider one simple point; success in trading is a function of 2 things:

  1. Your ability to identify profitable opportunities.
  2. Your ability to do nothing when they are not present.

Trading isn't rocket science and most of the people in this forum have 100 viable systems they can trade already. The issue is #2.

Trading when your bored, or tired, or need money, or as an escape from other problems in your life leads to losses. Losses lead to revenge trading, more losses, and eventually giving up a method or the entire idea of trading.

This is why all the nonsense about track records misses the point.

Lets assume I personally suck as a trader. Because I too fail at consistently achieving #2. Does that mean you can't use me as a resource for #1? The screenshots above demonstrate that I can identify and exploit opportunities. How would providing a track record alter that either way?

More importantly, let's assume (correctly) that I am a good trader. Let's also assume I had a solid track record of triple digit annual returns as long as the eye can see. How is that going to help you with #2? YOU are still going to take shitty trades because what 'I' have done in my account has little to no impact on whether you'll be able to sit on your hands or not when YOU don't know what's going on.

In the end, you guys can have this debate all you want, but it doesn't actually alter anything. I'm still trading, selling product, and in the process of launching a fund. I don't need your validation. And if you're that hung up on getting solutions to problems that don't exist, I really don't want you as a customer.

That said, if you want to be a professional. You know where to find me.

Wow, is this still going? How long can this line of probing continue? You are worse than an area 51 prodigy.

You imply that DS a) wants or needs to boost sales, and b) wants or needs to show any proof.

Either DS is hard-up and needs to scam everyone so is desperate to get every sale he can.... OR, he's doing his own thing and gives zero fucks whether you believe him or not. I think the writing is on the wall.

Holy shit at this rate I wouldn't want you as a customer, not that you want to be one - you don't seem to understand your position here. You are neither hurting DS's business nor helping. You are just flapping about hoping to provoke some type of response that will suit your agenda.

I've not once accused DS of being a scam, in fact I have said that I actually like his writing. But of course he took my question as accusation.
I haven't asked for anything whatsoever, I don't want anything. I merely pointed out in my 1st post here that along with all the other commercials here...an awful lot is promised without any proof.
And of course, the reaction I got was the same as anywhere else.

I don't really have a preferred outcome...I won't be a customer in any scenario. If he put up a track record with 10 year, multi million dollar gains nothing for me would change...I was only pointing out what I believe to be an undeniable logic:
If a savvy customer is to buy something, they would usually want to see it work first!
In our business though, blind faith plays more of a role in parting with money than perhaps anywhere outside of a church! That in itself has implications, especially given the way the gurus on this forum are revered!

Of course he is under no obligation to me or anyone else to prove anything. Regardless of what is said here, some will pay for him others wont. Some will fall at his feet in gratitude, and others will feel ripped off. He can continue to do his thing and give zero fucks, and I was under no impression anything else would happen. Have I lost anything? Has DS won? Not really sure these terms apply.

You're probably dead right..my posts are futile here...as they have been elsewhere with other people on these forums.
It's all a bit of entertainment really...why else are we here? I guess I get caught up when a very simple point is danced around.

But I am done here I think.
DS has stated his case clearly. People will process that as their perception dictates.
At the end of the day, there is no reward or reprimand for what goes on in these forums, it's all just words on screen.

Here's what annoys me about the discussion. There are a plenty of options for prospective customers to see it work first. Nobody is asking for that though.

The discussion is about track records, which we have establish has no bearing on ability to teach or identify profitable opportunities.

Track records identify discipline, and unless you're planning on letting me trade your account, my ability to be disciplined or not is of little relevance to anything.

I think as nub suggested, the point here isn't to figure out how valuable the product is or how anyone might benefit from it. This is a basic witch hunt to help some failed/failing traders rationalize away their inability to succeed. After all, if one can prove nobody is successful, it becomes easy to shield the ego from having to accept failure.

I'm not talking about anyone in particular here mind you. Just an observation of aspiring traders generally.

Actually, this is news to me!
And it makes a huge difference.

My mention of track records was because this is the simplest, most common method to determine (without first seeing) whether something is going to be effective at all in trading.
If you are showing people first, in the form of a trial or some other real time thing...then fantastic!

My whole point is about pre-sale verification. How does a customer know it works at all before buying it?

Like walking into a mobile phone shop.
You can sit there, play with the features and get a brief idea if it's for you.
Or (as an analogy to TE's) you can at the very least see someone else using it in front of you.

This makes it possible to make an informed decision about purchase, and of course will help sales.

Can it guarantee that I can find where the fuck my saved files are stored on my phone?! No! But at least I knew enough about it first to know that it works how I expect it to.

Your post implies that what DS offered to you cost you 8K of failure. Never heard of demo trading? How do you piss 8k away and then turn around and blame it on someone else?

It's no surprise that losers have no personal responsibility. It's always someone or something elses fault. Unreal.

You should be down the cost of the book, and nothing more. Everything past that is your own stupid fault, and well-deserved. This is why this forum sucks massive balls - nobody can take care of their own house.
