Well, you are honest about what you are doing and thats the first step. Trust me, just follow rules over and over and you will surprise yourself at how fast you hit your goals. Might not be the speed you want to hit them, but it will be fast enough to keep you happy.

sick over the weekend so late on the update. cost me a miss on the EU short. oh well.

thoughts are updated in post one. let me know if you like this, if its helping, or if anyone is reading.

dropping last weeks bonus pairs, exchanging them for GBPAUD. Want to go short on this, but need to let it break down for a few days and then retrace and will think short on the daily. on a M15 or M5, I'll be looking to see if its moving down or ranging on a day and then get short from the edges or on a big retrace.

For example, today, moving down, retraced and then came back up and double hit that 2.0240, get short and see what happens. first target the low at 2.02 and then you never know.

not totally given up on EURNZD daily, but need to wait and see if it will get moving.

Sorry No , will pay more attention to the weekly journal from now on.
I was watching usd/jpy this week, today entered long on retrace and was out with BE
currently long aud/nzd with stop 1.0794.
been in and out gold longs a couple of time around 1194 and 1200 for good profit.

Yes it was a fundemental trade call from a fund manager to go long around 800 on retrace with target 960.

Look at that EU chart of yours... is it 4th support or is it making lower and lower highs and lows in a confined space? Details matter

You are on a 4hr chart, trading from the 5 min. The 5 min should have screamed at you "NOT YET". I don't mind the look at high time frames and try to go in on the low, but make sure the low is doing something that matches the high.

Was just looking at the free trial on the fund manager trading.
you are absolutely right should not have taken the trade still trying to be the pioneer and losing.

A reminder to any struggling trader, it doesn't matter what the expert calls themselves or says they have a specialty in... they enter, exit, place stops and targets just like you do. You can see a chart just like them, you can read news like them, you can trade like them. I have listened to, done trials with, paid for as much stuff as anyone. Its ok to do those things, but don't discount your own expertise and common sense when listening to an "expert". See if there is something useful you can get from a person and incorporate it in to your style.

I have had a thread where I teach the things I think are necessary to trade well. This current thread is just trading a weekly and giving you some thoughts that might be useful for the week on smaller time frames. So same goes here, read what I have to say, see if the way you trade matches me, if it does, you have confluence. And confluence is definitely one of my favorite things.

Take the GBPAUD, monday tuesday wednesday... good trades. today, not going in the direction i want so no trades. go back to a gbpaud and see if this week my thought of trading short on a small timeframe had any entries based on how you trade. do that with any "expert"... take what they say and do, match it to how you do things and when they meet, good things probably happen.

Take Das, the AUD/NZD idea came from a guru. But he knows from me that the best place to enter is from the edges. Big day tuesday on A/N, created a range from 10860 to 10740ish. so is 10800 a good idea, not unless you place a stop outside the bounds of that bigger move and then you have to question your r:r. and there was news on both pairs involved... that really sounds bad for entering from the middle, to me, news is a great chance to get an illogical move to the edge and then take a trade.
