Hello all good night or day for yall.

Price action is better way to get forex in your hands, thats my thougt.
But, which is the better TF to trade using support and resistance and sup/dem zones?

Really price action Works on all TF?

Which TF give us better result using: Double bottom or double top, trend lines, S or R, retracement or pullbacks, HH or LL, pivots. ?

Now i trade using H4 and sup dem and S R but i want better results with my strategy. What do you recommend to avoid retracement or pullbacks?

Sorry my bad english. I wait someone help me clarify my questions.

They all work on all time frames. It depends on the time frame you use for your style of trading. If you are a 4hr trader, then look for the pull-backs on the 1hr & 15m.
If you are a 1hr trader. Look for the pull-backs on the 5m & 1m.
Knowing the pull-back destinations is the most important part of my trading

I use TrendForecast.ex4 to identify trendlines, resistance, support and time-zones for trading. Mostly trend line is best use to know where in price future a pullback or price re-trace may occur. Currently it only work GBPUSD and EURUSD. Attach to 1hr timeframe on GBPUSD and 4hrs on EURUSD. Allow DLL function must be enabled for the EA to work.

When attaching the EA to chart, ignore the Email, password or Symbol inputs and click OK button to load it.

What is better discretionary price action trading like price, volume, spread analysis or system trading like THV system or Bill Williams?
I believe system is because it is easier and more simple. What do you guys think?

Price is price, highs and lows aren't going to change. Do you ask which zoom you should use when taking a picture?

Do you mean what TF should you use for entries? Sometimes the lower TFs can give you info about PA that the higher TF can't.

No TF needed for trading pure price action.

Thank you all for your replies.

Thanks fxforexcast for your templates. I will try soon.

Exactly what i mean is if we can use price action on every time frame.

My main problem is to detect where to enter and when to exit. So i need good price action but i dont know which is the better.

Price actions works on all timeframes. For my trading I always focus on higher times frames like 1hr,4hr and 1 day.I prefer the higher timesframes because all the noise that is in smaller timeframes is filtered out in the higher timeframe and they tend to be more reliable. You can use the 4hr time to figure out the overall direction of the trend and use the 1hr timeframe to pick out your entry points.

Thats good news for me. I like to trade in H4.

Have you any "best practices rules" for H4 entry/exits? I mean how can we get better trade reading which kind of candles or whatever to get best entry.

I suppose everything works better on higher timeframes, Price actions is no exclusion. If you enter double bottom on higher timeframe there are more odds it gonna pullback soon. If you're not about to hit news trade then trading on 1M-15M timeframe is waste of time and loosening your nerves.
Cheers.

Hi elsensei.

This question is wrong on so many levels i don't know where to start!

The question and thread title should be: How much time should i waste on PA and TF's?

The lower the TF, the higher your entry accuracy (assuming you trade price action) will be. Of course your overall win rate will take a hit, but we have seen traders who have high win rates with almost as high drawdown. Have a look at this trader http://www.forexfactory.com/richfxtrades#acct.46 High win rate, but when he losses it causes margin call.

so what is the sense trading H1 when one is watching the 15 and 5M charts??? Seems waste of time. Why not just trade the 15 or 5H time? When I traded the H1 and H4 I set my trades and came back after those periods closed. Didn't have to babysit them watching for pullbacks on lower times. S/L's and T/P levels were set. Too much angst in long periods.

Now I trade 15M and Gu 4hrs per day and do very well London time. Those who set and go to work not included.

''Price action is all we need to succeed, but what time frame?''

Timeframes are a conception of your trading software, hence time frames do not exist.

The price is a continuously ever changing element observed through ''time frames'' or ''zoom in/out''

Price action should be observed on a tic chart (1 sec chart if you want )

Nothing that you or anyone else on this thread have mentioned here is Price Action.

Price Action has nothing to do with analysing price bar patterns on a single instrument. What you think is Price Action is what has been rebranded by many vendors as a fancy name for a BS trading system.

That only sounds relevant for scalping.

Maybe the truth will revive itself. I doubt it. Many systems will go out of business. Just don't bet the house on an 'inside candle. or a the Holy hammer!!

Price action = price movements

You don't need any big knowledge why the price moves.

The only important question is: can you make money?
