How's everybody doing today? I'm up overall, but its been a weird day. I trade with FXCM, and am experiencing a lot of "off quotes" to either open and close trades. Never happened before... This led me to a couple of -30 trades or so, and missed some entries... what about you? Trading DAX and US30 by the way. I wonder how this will behave when trading big lots?

I don't share my results as I no longer trade with MT4. I still analyze the renko charts, and they serve as the base of my trading, but I am using cTrader's tick charts to pinpoint my entries.

I am trading live with Pepperstone and never had any issues like you mentioned, apart from the occasional slippage which is normal considering how fast the DAX moves sometimes.

Thank you man Nuckern warned me about hedging a couple times, but my Demo trades were OK so why pay attention ? Why - because 9 times it goes well and on 10th you will blow up your account. For this time market forgive me, but next hedge could be my last and I am not gambler. From now fixed 10 pips SL, I am again one step farther... (I hope).

cTrader is revolutionary platform, absolutelly matchless with MT4. Metatrader is old crap with tons of updates added to 20 years old codes, that is whole problem. I had some talk with my colleague coder and if we will find out how to code everything to cTrader (scripts, Renko charts), I will change MT4 by cTrader ASAP, mainly I am pleased about 2x lower ping like at Metatrader. But I think that indicator for renko charts in cTrader I have already post there is fully functional

It is functional, the problem is that it overlays the renkos on the chart like a MA, therefore, the Stochastic and MACD calculations will still be based on the time-dependent bars instead of renko bars.

Well, that is really problem.... thanks for info

Btw cTrader is still under development, maybe in the future they will add more variations of charts to basic options of platform. You know, the only disadvantage of cTrader is its cAlgo language, which is hundred times complicated than simple MQL4. So, it is more difficult code something when you were using Metatrader a couple of years. We will see, at this moment I have no reason to change platform, everything runs OK, but as I wrote - when my friend will code expert for renko or developers will add it to new version, there will be nothing to why not switch to faster, and more modern platform.

Dear Trader,
Renko bars are not implemented yet. We are going to implement them soon. Stay tuned. "

Dunno what does "soon" means to them! xD

A trading tip fwiw....

On RENKO 10, or RENKO 5 for that matter, if you get a RENKO colour change as indicated with RED LINE with a MACD colour change BUT NO Stochastic crossing you have a pretty good signal. (So 3 things are required - colour change of renko bar and MACD with NO stochastic crossing) Divergence is the icing on the cake. Do your own back testing.....it's quite reliable.

GER30 +70+30. First trade looks like a late entry but it was not. It was a BPC entry so I waited for the breakout a pullback to the Red line and then the continuation. If you look at the MACD you will see the Continuation Pattern.

Yes the 2B pattern is quite reliable especially with Divergence at a significant level.

GER30. +22+30. Although Stochs was OB the MACD told me that momentum was increasing, Blue Box. The clues are on the chart.
"PanamaMike" introduced the MACD with the current settings way back in 2014, and I am glad that he did, it has been a valuable addition to my trading setup. Belated thanks.

I must change back to the 5 pip chart, the 3 pip is great for fine tuning those entries but it is a bitch for psyching you out of a trade, small pullbacks look enormous. price went to where the TP was for my second trade, I got spoofed out of 20 pips.

Done for the day cu later.

Done for today, lot of mistakes, that is reason why I am back on Demo this week, but fixed SL saved my ass many times again.

Looked good to me.

If you are having trouble with divergence there are a few PDFs in the attachments section, pages 9 - 10 or here is a link to an earlier post.

Many thanks for comment Dee, be honestly, now I feel how much I need practice in my trading. Without fixed SL it was hundred times easier, but same hundred times more dangerous. If I am looking again on those 2 charts I see stupid mistakes and I can tell you exactly what reasons were there to entry - feels...

Btw nice trades everybody today, wish you also green pips tomorrow on the last day of week

Here are some trades of today.

I got nailed big time as let some losers run. One thing that put me in much more attention to close trades at a correct time, was to increase my lot size so I knew I wasn't playing and pushed the button when needed... mere psychology. I will be much more cautious from now on... will set a fixed SL at around 20, just opposite from the bottom/top of my entries.
