honing in on the VIX long play that will break the camels back, looks like its not that far away now maybe a month or two when I will be able to put that long call order in

Market correlation with crude is absent today.
/CL is down 6.5%, and /ES is UNCH basically.

yeah I doubt we will see much in the way of /ES day-to-day rally with /CL sliding......oil could flatline and /ES could grind up, though.....

Out of my second SVXY short put credit spread at 50% max (sheds a tear; I'll miss you). Still have a VXX short call credit spread on, but it looks like it will go shortly at 50% max, so I'll be back to looking at VIX plays then ... . My tendency is to wait too long at the bottom, after which it pops when I'm not looking.

An AMZN earnings beat ... . Not much has been able to bring the market out of this funk, but I'm fine with sideways or a slow paced burn in either direction; it's these rips that tend to bug the crap out of me ... .

yeah that sounds good, I'm in the PT Barnum trading mo, "something for everybody"

...I filled a AAPL Apr/May $120 calls calendar for $0.28 today, tried something similar for BA @ $140, no fill at 35c.....my bullish dreams might get slapped out my head, but otoh April is long time, come what May....

UVXY was down a buck, I need it to grind down to $30 +/- by Feb opex........I probly won't shop long vol spreads until it looks for $26 or lower....

UVXY fly combo, today & @ expiry w/ a 50% global iv reduction....

watching YUM, where I have a Feb/Apr $82.5/85 calls diag, ER's tomorrow.......in for 22c, worth about 30c now but I will hold thru the ER most likely....

watching the equity slide decimate my short vol spreads, not giving up on them yet....

I can't find anything I want in SVXY credit spreads, already in Jun $50/60/70 fly calls, seems like I might have to wait that long to see $50+ again.....

End to a good week ... . But punctuated by a lot of scrambling around. Last week, figured I'd start layering on March SPY stuff ... . Moved to the up side, legged in short call spreads; moved to the down side, took those off and legged into short put spreads ... . Need a bit of strength to leg back into the call side; going small and often.
