Dear i am very surprised to see you're comments. It is not a gambling in gambling u have less then 50 % chance to win but in trading if u have emotional control mentality yiur chance is 70%.So strict with a trading style and do the same and got surprising result.

Exactly. 99.6% of RETAIL FOREX TRADERS lose money in this scheme. The numbers are similar as CASINOS. It's pure math. And the numbers are out there. US Gov forced Retail Forex Brokers to release their numbers few years ago, and 99.6% of accounts lose money in FOREX. That's the TRUTH.

Unfortunately, people won't listen and even if you tell them the truth here in the forum, they will still go ahead and waste their money in Retail Forex Brokers, and they will only figure out the truth when they completely burn their account.

The same pattern as Gamblers. Gamblers go to VEGAS knowing in advance that the House Always Wins, it's pure math, ask a PhD in Mathematics, its all proven, im not saying anything new here. However they still go to VEGAS, bet their money and lose.

Of course people like MERLIN or James16 or the owner of FOREX FACTORY make a lot of money, BUT not trading FOREX. They do money promoting FOREX, or in the case of James16 selling memberships and stuff like that, like he has done for years. But they don't make money trading Retail Forex.

The reason why retail traders dont make make is because of text book theories like James 16. These kind of poeple trade with 10,s of if not 100,s of thousands of dollars make their income off it then promote the forex systems which make more than what they make from trading forex. The average retail trader will only invest a few hundred dollars and get bored real quick of making 10$ a week so they take high risks to try and grow their account which then gets blown.

To make money you need to have a decent size account and trade full time not a couple of hrs after work. If you trade as a hobby or part time you will 100% loose. You need to be sitting at the screen 8 hrs a day and treat it as a job and not a get rich quick scheme like 99.6% of retail traders do.

there are plenty of retail traders that make money as a full time income. But its just an income. With the right size account its quite easy to make your 100K per year income which is enough to live comfortably and have a pretty cool lifestyle.

You cannot compare. The house edge of casinos is 1,35 -2,7 % on roulette and around 0,7 % on blackjack, In the long run you MUST lose this percentage. No escape, that is pure math. (Cardcounting is an other theme), Do we have in forex also a mathemtically disadvantage? So I think you cant compare,
There are some guys on fxfactory who has good lifestyle with forex trading. İt is business..Welcome if you know what are you doing. Otherwise tou will throw your money.

People definitely make money. If others can, you can too. You may just have to work harder than them.

The fact of the matter is it's a zero sum game. So someone is coming out with profit.

Its not not like we are all just handing money back and forth to each other and it never really goes anywhere.

If that was the case people wouldn't be losing their accounts. When they lose it completely, someone else made it.

The reason most fail is they treat it like a casino.. and gamblers lose 99% of the time over the long term.
Be hopeful in a winning position, and fearful in a losing position.

ofcourse you can. But are you able to manage your risks and prepared for those drawdowns? Are you willing to independently analyse the latest data coming out everyday and digest them to reshape your trading strategies, often sacrificing sleep? This market is not for the fainthearted, get financially and mentally prepared. Good luck.
