:nerd:......truth is I try not to think.....When i look back ​at all the ones I missed it makes me ......After a good trade i get up and walk outside......on days like today I better re-think that habit....BTW...i take this all as a compliment......today was great....just shy of 200 pips in a little over 2 hours

OK so I took as many trades as the 3 ren could give me....I need a drink...

GER30+13+8+17+6 If you can not ignore them you may as well join them. Dropped down to a 3 pip Renko, reduced my expectations, followed the rhythm, although today is more a tango than a waltz.

OHOH! I did not take the next short, I better think of a good reason for not taking it!

All joking aside folks you are watching the master at work[Dee].....he can drop from the long game[10 renco] and scalp at will without missing a beat. When he says follow the rhythm pay attention!!!!! That`s what makes this work!!!

Hi Dee,
In the last few weeks, I have been watching/studying how the DAX and the EURUSD interact with each other and the inverse correlation is tremendous.
At first I thought that the EURUSD would lead the DAX and that could provide some forecasting benefits but after watching both instruments for a while ,I am no longer sure as to who leads and who follows on a consistent basis.
Have you found useful in keeping an eye on the EURUSD while trading the DAX or have you found that it just adds complexity without any appreciable benefit.

Many people here are posting their pips made trades and some losers, but how mutch is it in risk to reward 1:1 or better ? Do you have one position and one target or do you split it up in partial targets ? where you also split the position please explain more about this am trying to learn here

As with "ALL" correlations they are not really reliable some times they correlate and some times they do not, I personally do not make trading decisions based on them. See attached, there is a 1minute EU and the 10 pip Renko GER30, I marked the point on the EU when my TP was hit, are they correlated at the moment or not, do you look at matching time frames, or even, which time frames do you watch? The second set of charts are a few minutes later.

You will have to decide for your self.!

Just to add to the confusion, here is a 3rd set, EU has hardly changed but DAX has gone up another 40 pips.

GER30+45+2+10+10+15. Few more. Back to the 5 pip. There is a real tug of war going on. I am done for the day I only want to put bread on the table for my family not feed the 5,000, that is some one else's speciality.

You took a lot of heat on those tradesI know this goes back to your swing trading and taking heat was the accepted norm, but, if you were confident that price would turn back up, why didn,t you wait until it had turned? I'm a little baffled by that

I did a post responding to you, but I have deleted it. I have just looked at your profile and posting history (850 posts) you are not some one who needs to be taught about R:R, you are obviously aware that R:R is different for every one so I am not sure why you are asking the question

LOL I used to fuss over R:R myself in the past, when I could not made a dime. Now that I don't really give a damn about it, rather let PA dictate the exit, I actually made money. I usually have 2x profit compared to my risk. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

Because i like tp see the real numbers behind the pips won here it would be intresting, give me something to go on. For me the the pips or the winning trades are not so important as are the R:R and account grow. Do you understand what i mean ?

ps. Spain haaaa i think i want to move there someday

Hello Philippine,
I know everybody builds its own strategy behind trading, but yours is not that clear to me.
I do like the fact that you make quick pips here and there, and to be honest I would like to develop that in my portfolio, as I am more focused in "longer" trades. It looks like fun being able to grab immediate pips while looking another longet trade to develop.

Wopuld you mind giving an explanation about it? One thing that I find difficult so far is to be able to trade in both directions during the day, as generally speaking I get a bias for the day and enter a "more secure" trades.

What Dee mentions about marking those trades you didn't take for what ever reason will also help to understand.
