Was looking for short, entered here and closed at +1 as price was hesitating too much there, and stalled. As many times, price started to move when closed it.

This is my only trade from today. It turned -25 on DAX. I was short biased, saw an opportunity, and imediately came against me, hitting my SL. Didn't try to trade again, as US market was closed and not much movement. Any takes on this trade? Please critique. Best {image}

a bit late and more like the blind trying to lead the one eye man, but I also want to take a shot.
I guess its debatable and depending on what size renko chart you look but that high that was made just before your entry was higher than 2 other highs on the 5 pip chart. That would have been a red flag for me that a direction change might happen.
Also if you look at the MACD it was above the zero line. Not to say it can't come down from there , its just another thing that is counting against going short from there.

You're right aboput failed divergences. This one was at a support area, so it was worth it to risk 15 points I believe. It turned for +90. Now missed the move down as didn't wanted to over trade.
