Bumping this:

We ended 2015 well, and we're starting 2016 well too. Putting our massive 1,420 pip winner on USDCAD last December aside, we're now almost close (5 pips away) from having our take profit limit order filled on GBPUSD. If that happens, we'll walk away with some 350 pips in profit. Not a bad start to the year huh? Especially given how treacherous the trading environment has been ever since New Year's Day; markets all around have been crashing and volatility flaring across the board.

Exactly 6 days ago, we publicly said that we were short term bullish risk assets and were sitting on the fence for the medium term. We'd previously been bearish the week before but flipped sides on a turn of a dime. We also stated that we were in the precipice of going bullish for the medium term, and our biases were going to be shaped by the week's price action.

Fast forwarding to this past Friday's close, it seems that we were right on our call. Unfortunately for us, we were shaken out of our long risk positions before the actual rally in prices occurred, so we missed a good part of the ramp. But that's for another story.

Heads up: The U.S. is at a critical technical crossroad. A multi-month support in confluence with a long-term trend buffer zone.

If we clear this zone, we could see a lower U.S. dollar. If price bounces, we caution all traders to be wary as any bullish strength in the greenback may be faded by a growing group of bears.

Valienty, this is thread hijacking at its most obvious. Not cool, not cool at all.
