The ongoing momentum could easily lift the pair towards 1.4960-70 resistance, ahead of the very important 1.5000 psychological mark.
Keeping a tight stop at 1.4750 level, below which it could drift back to sub-1.4600 mark.

EURCAD bullish momentum should continue once it pierces through 1.5000 psychological mark.
1.4750 still remains immediate support.

Hi, Ive been trading forex for a few years now, and have an account with forexbrokersinc. I was hoping to get some advice on a recent sell EURCAD position I had. I was closed out of my position at 23:59(last minute of trading for the week). I use MT4 and the highest price on the closing minute was 1.51160. I had a stop set at 1.51760(70 pips away). My margin was not an issue, so my only guess is spread widening. I did notice a large spike down in favor of my trade but no spike up towards my stop loss on the minute chart. The spread closed at 30 pips, still 40 pips away from my SL. I usually remove stops for trades held over the weekend, but thought this one was more than a safe distance of being triggered. If anyone has some input or advice please respond. I have an inquiry with forexbrokerinc about this issue and will follow up with thier response. Overall, Ive been very happy with forexbrokerinc and this is the only issue Ive encountered with them thus far.

there is a free indicator in market by ICEFX which is a spread indicator, download it apply it to a 1min chart of whatever pair and make sure the inputs are checked off and you will be able to see any spread spikes and exactly what the spread was for the period. Then you will see the spread probably spike you out.

thanks, i tried the ICEFX but it only tells me the spread at close which was 31pips(rather large) but much less than 70 pips where my SL was. I looked at other brokers and it seems mine was the only one with spikes during the last minute of last weeks trading. Still awaiting a response from the back office.

got a response from the backoffice. My stop was hit due to low liquidity from their providers. They were nice enough to close my positions with slippage in my favor at 1.51275. Hmmmmm...I'll have to remove SL if I hold positions over the weekend.
