Yes I did read that article before I posted it here and when you couldn't read it, I re-tried the link but it was not reachable this time,I don;t know how.. What I remember from that article is they just mentioned that claim without any proofs shown.

hey guys can you please let me know if Pepperstone offers any promo when you open account with them?? I understand that they don't give away any bonus but do they at least throw some useful FX tools for MT4 or any other stuff.?? I looked through their website and couldn't find anything..I am deciding between Pepperstone or Vantage FX...

I am planning to open an account with pepperstone but I read many posts where users mention that their SL gets triggered even though the price doesnt move that far and this is because of the widening of the spread.

What I dont understand is, the spread is applied only when the trade is opened right? How can a spread change when the trade is already in execution? Someone please clarify, thanks.

Because if you are long, your stoploss is a sell order, subject to the bid/ask spread. There's an introduction to forex trading on babypips which you should read.

Ok, actually i have only traded with market maker brokers so far who all had fixed spreads, but just got the know about ecn brokers. Thanks for the info though.

Anyone here knows how pepperstone handled the CHF crash of Jan 2015? Did they ask the customers to pay for the negative balances it caused? Any idea?
