I couldn't agree more. If a trader is successful and doesn't need the money in his account then he should never take it out. No matter how you slice it you are hurting yourself. Whatever goal that you have set for yourself will take longer the more money you withdrawal along the way.

Anyway, I was trying to point out that trading a 10k account is different from a 100k account.

Lastly, it is easier to make money in stocks. But those who are profitable in stocks, are they scalpers? The big money is the long term trend, not your M1 charts.

really depends. in the last 10 years most stock investors didn't make money going from one crash into the next one. However, of course if you picked the right ones, then you would have been a winner.

Yeah, I also think at some point there are diminishing returns the lower you go on your time-frame.

Well, I am probably a kind of exception. I actually automated all my trading (after lots of research), so I am as likely to increase a 200$ account by 100% as I am with a 2000$ account.

But probably you are right for people who trade manually.

Jayjb, maybe this will put to rest some doubts.
This shows the activity from the last 2 months, which was the last time a WD was made. It was 2 months and 67 trades were made in that time. On the right side I erased some final digits, as I don't what people to know what I have in my account. I also spiced the chart up with a TL and PA lines at the swing lows. After all, this is one chart I want to see in a consistent UP. Punch it up on your excel if you'd like, but it shows 226% gains in the last 2 months, and yes, it is my live account.
I'll add that 226% is a little above average for me, but it was the best I could do going back to my last WD.
Having said that 10% per month should be no big deal. OTOH, you are still gainful if you are getting 5%.

This is a moot question, as its not scaleable to the volume whereby profits are serious. If you had that return consistently over a high volume, it wouldn't take you long to be the richest man in the world.

because at my forex trading i do scalping, i just have target $20 for one day.
even my profit is not big enough, but i think its good enough i can make it constant, at one week i can got $140.

well I make 0.25% in a week for now. I know it seems very little but when 0.25% in a week x 4 weeks that is equal to 1% in a month x 12 month = surely I will make 12% P.A and 12% P.A is still a lot to me and achievable.

I've been studying up on the legendary traders from back in the day like Richard Dennis from Chicago. From what I'm gathering, those guys didn't produce those 1000% plus returns either. My goal is to manage a 10% weekly return as well. I'm no where near there yet, but I will be.

I am making around 1k per month, so that basically means around 250 dollars target per week, but that's definitely not my target since i just want monthly earning.

Wow ,it's very inspiring to know that so many people are making easily 5-10 %profit per week.!!
But is it a consistent profit ,and for how long ,1 year,2years ,or just 3 months?what's the drawdown?
Instead of arguing about the possibility of achieving these excellent profits ,why don't all you successful traders use myfxbook to track your account ,so that you give all losing traders or 20% yearly profit traders the motivation to improve themselves !!
Besides you could make huge extra income giving your signal through myfxbook,with 1000 subscriber and only a 100$ monthly subscription fee ,you 'll make 100000$ extra free monthly income.
In my opinion it's totally possible ,but it's not easy and not as many traders could do it,as the number they claim to do.
Don't ignore the drawdown when you speak about your profit ,if the drawdown more than 30%,maximum 40% ,it's not counted.
I can claim to make 80-100% per month or more in average with a 90% drawdown.(: (:

i start my forex trading by do scalping so i can minimize my loss but also i just get small profit, but i think its good enough for me, because my friend told me that if i can make my profit again and again as constant as i can that will good enough for me to learn to getting better at my forex trading, my daily target is $20 even i think its small but im also think it's good enough for my start at forex trading.

If I do not take my total annihilation of my account into the calculations I made in 2015 between -4% and +12% per month. We will not be able to achieve a simple 1k account and make every week a given percentige. The market will be friendly to our system in one month and in the other it will eat it up. The most important thing is to have bigger winner month/weeks or days than you take loosing ones...

Somewhere here in the forums a wise guy explained a really complicated thing in very simple words:

If you have a motorbike and this thing will accelerate to 100km/h (miles per hour is a foreign language for me sry) it wont be at a gazillion km/h in 5 minutes... Please take this into your thinking when you try to establish your trading targets... it is unlikely to happen anyway...

If I can give a recommendation:

Just trade and try to keep your capital...
Do not plan anything further than the next trade each and every time...
---> your equity curve will be under much less pressure and can grow like a tree... :-) let it grow

Hello everyone,my name is Antonis im new to this forum and i wanted to ask a question,is anyone here able to tell me if they experienced bad financial returns before they managed to stable there weekly income?in simple words, a trader that lost a lot of money and then implemented a type of risk management for their account and managed to have a stable weekly income and whats that weekly amount?thank you people

you can make 8%-18% per annum on high-yield/junk bonds and they're probably not as risky as giving your money to the typical bucketshop
