The GBPUSD pair has been in a strong downtrend. However, profit taking, low liquidity, volatility and other "holiday" spices may turn the table. As I always advised, due to previously mentioned factors, holiday trading should be very limited.
Technically GBPUSD has made an inverted Head and Shoulders pattern and if it manages to stay above 1.4870 we could see 1.4950 and 1.5010 levels just after the holidays. L3, DPP, E89 are constituting a strong confluence and if it were normal trading conditions this could be almost perfect setup. But because of thin liquidity, bank holidays, low volatility it could change and make Inverted Head and Shoulder pattern invalid. I suspect that thin liquidity may lead to another 1.4870 test and below that we may see some stop grabs towards 1.4850 and 1.4820.

Hey Brian,

Yes I agree with you. He should have won the Oscar a long time ago. Excellent performance in most of his movies. Definitely a a TOP actor.

Greetings T and happy new year to all traders out there,
Wish everyone to have a pleasant trading experience for this new year!

Regarding the set-up as mentioned, can we still have an outlook for this pair to go north at the current price level?
Or should we continue to see it as going south?
May I know what is your suggestion on this?
Thanks in advance.

Hi T,

Enjoyed your blog, brought back many painful memories! I've been trading for a living for 5 years and have made all the mistakes in the book (impulse trading, revenge trading, martingaling, poor money management, etc.). The main thing I've learnt is to plan your trade and trade your plan. You can have the best trading plan in the world with a 100% guarantee of success but emotional intervention and deviation from the plan will result in failure.

It took me 3 years of daily screen time and hard work to reach the stage where I had a trading plan I was comfortable/confident with and had developed the right state of mind. Ignore the get rich quick adverts - there are no shortcuts. It's a tough process and small wonder that 95% of traders fail. However, go through the pain barrier, learn from your mistakes, stick to your plan (keep re-evaluating it) and a high annual income is achievable

I always enjoy your blogs and seminars. You're one of the rare traders willing to give their time to help others with respect and empathy.

Best wishes for 2016.

Thanks for the your kind words and updates! Yes, most of these things come from personal experience as well and I have also gone through all these stages as a trader. The thing what I try to do is to pinpoint those mistakes so you should not repeat it or at least, you should be aware of it so you should not make any of those.

I completely agree with you, no shortcuts, no quick rich, and the reason why most of traders fail is PSYCHOLOGY, not the actual system.

Hi everybody, and hello, MASTER TarantulaFX!! And HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
You know me as Ionut from your weekly webinars at Admiral Markets. 2015 was a really fruitful year in terms of educational gain for my humble trading "carreer". Live results on my trading account are really modest, but I would like to Thank you here and share with EVERYBODY reading this thread the fact that the education I personally had from you is PRICELESS.
As they say, "It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock'n'roll" , but I will not quit, and I encourage everybody else not to give up.

I have a day job, (except these few new year's first days), so I will not be very active on the thread, but I silently read and learn, so I encourage you again to keep your good work.

I hereby share with you today's setups based on my trading strategy combined and strengthened by TarantulaFX's shared knowledge.

Wish you all a Happy Green 2016! (You all know what I mean )
