Euro rallying before a US rate increase

I dont trade fundamentally only technically . But if there is suppose to be a rate increase in 2 days why has the euro rallied nearly 450 pips. I thought a rate increase strengthens a currency . And dont say what the professionals say That rate increase is already priced in . Technically the price movement its logical but fundamentally doesnt seem right .

Maybe there won't be a rate hike.

Seems to me the way to make most money is to make price go up before an event that almost surely will send it down.

You could be right with the fundamentals and not make money.

Trader is about making money not make analysis.

If the outcome is as expected (i.e. a hike) then that is no surprise to the market. Price moves on the surprise element, not on actual outcome. So, what is happening at the moment is probably no more than simple supply/demand.
