EU M5 long trade. I was looking for price to go to the yellow zone to enter a long trade. The green box showed order consumption and I had a long bias to begin with so I took the trend line break for quick pips.

got set-up by the market..what looked like a decent entry turned bad in the end..

Thanks, I usually start about an hour before FO (Frankfurt open) but that is due to experience. It is much safer to wait until after LO. I am trading US session less and less compared to the past since I usually have made my gains during the London session. As we go further into the month of December I reduce the number of my trades.

Bounce trade from blue EMA on EU M5. Blue EMA is 30 EMA on M5=10 EMA on M15.

EU M5 long trade, Bounce from the Blue EMA. Please keep in mind that you just can't take every single Bounce trade, you have got to be super selective. Those who trade the M15 charts, it is best that you start taking a trade after LO.

Please read the following posts first: Post #26,093 and 26,094 and post #26,147 is the list of indicators I use on M15 and M5 charts.

As we are nearing the end of the year, market becomes choppy and thin so trading becomes more challenging.

Next GJ long trade. Please keep in mind that you can't take trades from the same level over and over again. The black trend lines show the way I see price movement. Does this work 100% of the time? NO.

Superb trades all around the place... not only the ones here.

I don't have that confidence of yours, not even 10% of it... I saw the touch and bounce on the GJ , on the M15 200ema, from the M5.

I have the 200ema on my M5 tpl... but couldn't pull the trigger.

I wonder what will take me to get a bit of that confidence.

Thanks Helee. I got back from a 10 day holiday a few days ago so I spent the first few days of this week getting back into swing of things and today felt like trading full session. This is the way I usually trade when I am going full speed

The first step is seeing the Bounce and Touch trades. Next is to actually trade those setups left and right at first, I recommend 0.01 lot size trading over demo. Then save/print all your trades good/bad and go over them and start gathering some stats. Which setups have the highest probability of success? Which ones are the low probability ones? How many times can I trade from the same level? When is it safe to go counter trend? Which pairs are best to trade during each session?.....

Before each trading session, I go back and study my previous week's trades just to prime myself for the upcoming day. In this business disaster always lurks around a corner and one needs to be prepared for just about anything the market throws at you.

It is hard work but it pays off eventually.

Thx for your advise, I have been doing that actually, but for the ones I consider A+++ trades, would like to spot them in time...
Did you stop using TDI??

I cant see to live without it.

You are welcome Helee, you are on the right path. I don't use TDI on M5 any longer.

TDI is on my M15 charts but I make my trade decisions based on Price Action first and at times I don't even look at TDI on M15 but in counter trend trades I use it to spot divergence. In my humble experience, Price Action plus confluence gets you in a trade sooner than TDI.

In order to spot the A+++ setups in real time, it is best to take confirmed Bounce trade setups first and then move to the more advanced Touch trade setups. That is what I did.
