I don't know if any of you use sounds, such as alerts, but I certainly do. Over time though, you can become immune to some of them. Did you know you can change them? Go to TOOLS / OPTIONS and click on the tab EVENTS. Look for ALERT and double click it. Choose OTHER and insert a wav file from your computer files. Personally, I like Darth Vader because of the deep voice and short length. I have tried other things too, like bells, horns, etc, but I like speech best. Your choice. Here is a sample of a wav I use from time to time. I had to zip it to attach it, so hopefully you can open zip. Just an example. Pick something for your taste and have a little fun.

Anyone know anything about helicopters? I am thinking about buying this one. It is an Airbus H135, also known as a EC135 T3/P3. Of course I would have to dress up the appearance, but it seems like a great helicopter. Any opinions?

Is this in support of higher TFs, to take a more helicopter view LOL. Enjoy. Do you have or are getting your helicopter license?

Thanks. Am skeptical of marketing after so much time in Forex, LOL. It looked strong on their ratings report. Thanks for the second opinion.

Just forward thinking. I am considering buying an island and so was looking at transportation options. I have flown Cessna's, but never a helicopter. I figured if I added floats it would be more versatile than a seaplane. No license yet, just exploring the possibilities.

I found this video and thought you might like it. Our business of trading is highly personal. Most of us are our own small business. Many of us have issues from time to time with success and how to get it and the emotions that plague us as we trade. This video is directed at actors, but really, on the emotional side of it, it is very similar to our situation. We must self-motivate, self-control, self-educate, and self-discipline.

This video discusses scarcity, what it is, and how to overcome it, from different perspectives. One of my favorite statements was a reference to a New Yorker cartoon where there were two lines. One line said "Heaven" and the other line said "How to get to Heaven". Everybody was standing in the "how to" line, lol. Isn't this forum full of "how to" people and so few who just do it? I know from my own experience in FF that I am very guilty of telling members to quit looking at historical charts because you cannot make money on yesterday, lol.

Check it out. Could help.

Star Trek, Into Darkness, has been playing repeatedly lately. It always reminds me of the first version, The Wrath of Khan. Do you remember how they defeated Khan? Spock observed that Khan's thinking was 2-dimensional, so they dropped down (3-dimensional), he flew past them, and they were able to attack from the rear.

Those traders using those old line trading techniques are like Khan. Their trading is 2-dimensional. They trade on price going up, or down, but not left and right. That kind of trading requires more analysis and tools than simply connecting dots to previous highs and lows. Rather than acquiring such data and means of measuring it, they prefer to ignore it as taboo, or mystical, or as they like to say...don't work, are lagging, or repaint. This is why we consistently outperform all of them.

I have been reading about order flow lately. This is where they look at where most of the trades are bundled and if price is above or below the bundle, then they know which direction it will go. Hmm. Sound like equilibrium to you? LOL. They use integers lined at trading levels to distinguish possible linear movement. On the other hand, we convert those levels to ordered pairs using a time element. Their analysis resembles a ladder. Our analysis can be plotted on an x-y axis. Same thing, different view. I like ours better. Graphs are usually easier to read than a list of numbers. You think?

It is just two more reasons why what we do is not wrong. It is simply more advanced. Merry Christmas

Hi all, been lurking in the dark and learning from the thread.
I am trying to make an indicator that includes the MA into sniper CCI.
However, from the attached indicator, the indicator doesnt seems to compile well.
Can someone help to take a look into it? this is my first time custom making an indicator.

BTW dkrock, I have a question for you.
Since the method that you used is based on indicator, do you actually use EA in your business?
Just curious

Thank you.

Hello.

The original FX Sniper Ergodic CCI has a trigger line. Is that what you are wanting? Anything "BH" means it has been modified by guys who were paranoid about indicators indicating, so they locked them down with additional filtering. I am not interested in such indicators. You should get the right one, not the manipulated one, but that is up to you. I easily noticed the signals do not match, and were not signaling what I wanted to signal. That is my opinion though.

As for an EA, no. That is not possible. Would be awesome, but if it was that easy, everyone would do it. Markets range, trend, and consolidate. The consolidation area would destroy any EA I could create. My template accounts for different market conditions, and when used in conjunction with my brain, helps me produce the best "probably" situation. In my studies I have been unable to pinpoint one specific pure math equation that produces consistent profit. I have to adhere to various chaotic market conditions via an adaptable control sample size. Logic is all that remains for consistent profit. Sorry.

About EA's. Most indicators are written against moving averages, so it stands to reason an EA would also use moving averages. In consolidation areas, price crosses smaller moving averages over and over and over. Each cross would signal a trade. You can even have multiple crosses within the same candle. It does not take very long before your spread losses and small pip losses begin to accumulate and eat your account. This is why they are so dangerous to me.

I mention the smaller moving averages because if you ever wanted to make profit, you would use them. But, large moving averages do the same thing. When a large moving average flattens, and price begins to cross it over and over and over, this is when it usually makes the news as being a stagnant market, stuck in consolidation. A time frame is a time frame. They all act the same, just at a different frequency.
