I wont lie. I'm a fan price action bars such as pinbars and outside enulfingbars and will often initiate trades based on them if they are in the right location. Here a pinbar formed after piercing the parallel slider and closing strongly lower. I've been in this one for a while.

You are smart to be wary and a healthy dose of skepticism is absolutely necessary especially if you are looking to FF for a teacher. ​Perhaps you are in the wrong place then. FF is 99% full of threads with absolutely no back-up whatsoever. It is really the last place you want to go if you want to find a "mentor" although you might find one if you're patient. There is worthy knowledge here but one must do quite a bit of weeding to find it.

I disagree that there is no future in "backward thinking". How does one learn if not by examining and analyzing historical price. If history was truly meaningless then price action would truly be random and not worth anyone's time. A teacher meeting your requirements can be found. But you will likely need to pay for one.

As I have mentioned previously. I believe previous posts in this new thread do really meet some or most of your requirements. But you seem to dismiss that. Am I correct that you find the previous posts here invalid?

Closed for +20. H4 chart looks good for more but H1 shows upwards frequency and price hit a sliding parallel so I'm out.

Also eaglestar posed a question in his last post (297) and juriFX post (298) reposted the chart with a brilliant answer.

People are pushing eaglestar to move on with his teachings, but I for one would be happy to master what is shown in these two posts.

I only find posts that are in past tense as invalid.Every post written has got me to this point(my thoughts) of thinking

I have found the past to be extremely important when it applies to the present but totally disregard past tense on an old chart as far as could have, would have, should have.

Past tense that is useful is only used in the now moment not shape fitted past tense on an old chart

Anyway i am not looking for a mentor but came across the thread and found it interesting and just wanted to put my thoughts forward.For me less lines and more notice on major decision points works for me but at these points i actually make a decision with a small stop and and trail at balance points.

Cheers for putting up the AU trade as this is clear to see and actually puts some reasoning behind your actions which allows others to learn.This was my main gripe as the thread unfolds.I am also in the AU at .71300 with my stop already at break even and am targeting .70000 or so before looking to get into a buy

I was not trying to derail the thread as i find it interesting but just wanted a bit more substance and accountability which i have found to be a major turning point for me.Until some one is accountable for their trade actions i do not believe they are able to trade

Will shut up now but also follow along

Hey Guys,

I studied forks a bit more to understand the nature, however it is a bit complicated for me and hard to invest real money at this stage

But I got a bit in detail of GBP / JPY H4

If goes as plan, we will have nice short setup around 189 level because :

 

  1. Light blue fork
  2. Yellow fork
  3. Pink Channel
  4. Dark Blue Supply Zone


All gather at the same point !

But also there is another one :

5. We have FOMC + BOJ monetary Policy & Conference ahead within 24 hours



So based on these infos and the mentioned reasons I will work on Selling at 189.00


BUT

I have no idea about other place and other price and other setup

Thank you for your observations. There are more reasons that I am not able to show you my live trades than I wish to divulge. I chart every day for more than most people here, between 7-10+ hours a day. The observations and knowledge I am sharing is to help and to guide others here to help them to see the markets differently and be profitable. The authors of the threads and sites I have learned from have an accumulated total experience of over 65+ years trading. I don't think I have to back up what I am mentioning in some sort of way because I have to prove anything. I am not here to try to prove anything, only that we work together as a group to become better traders, and help each other to make money and give back to charities, our families, our communities. When I started this thread, it was because I wanted to help to give back to those who have come before me, to this community of traders where I learned from, and from the Creator, who gives all knowledge, muscles, bones, and tissues to form us. We are all connected, all breathe the same breath, drink the same water, and feel the same emotions. Going further, I would say that try the techniques that I am mentioning and showing on my charts and see if they work for you. If they work for you, great! Please keep using them. I will be here to help guide as much as I can with the limited time that I have. If you feel like this is not worth your time, then I am not offended. A big thank you to Winston Reed, and others here who are answering questions and helping other traders to learn the basics. This thread can be basic or advanced, I have given you a choice to determine if you want to trade basic market structure, or more advanced lines, and it seems to me that most here want to try to learn more the pitchfork which is fine.

Just to be clear. I don't trade using supply and demand methods anymore. I noticed in you GBPJPY chart supply/demand levels.
Your intention to sell while not wrong is against the overall trend of this pair currently. Certainly there is frequency at that level but you will be going against the flow.
I would much prefer to buy this pair at the bottom line where frequency has also been demonstrated. Around 187.00.

Please don't call Redsword11 amazing trader because you offending with this statment real traders here.Red was just amazing teacher who could not really trade and he only try to brought people to brokerage houses.That's how he made money in forex and this is a fact which I can anytime prove with real tracks records which are only matter if we want to call someone''forex trader''The same IF,J16 etc.So please put these people in group which call''Retail forex teachers'' and not traders.
