I use a SL and move my SL to BE after my trade is up by X many pips. I have also posted my losses and BE trades on this thread. I don't believe in luck in trading anymore but in skill, preparation, execution and discipline.

Once I understood that trading is just a probability game ( RIP Mark Douglas) and even A+++ setups fail. I just take my loss when a setup fails and move on. Now, due to experience I don't not take every single setup like I used to.

I have to admit that your nickname is borrowed from one of the pms (one of several) I got in support of standing up to your bullying. May you be blessed abundantly.

Please keep in mind that the market goes through cycles of trending and ranging. If your strategy is designed to be a trending strategy, it will perform well during trending cycles and will suffer during ranging cycles and vice versa.

I incorporate the shorter TF trading to make pips regardless of market cycles. Recently, I have added a trending cycle trading system M30-H4 to take advantage of trending cycles and another one (position building) to take advantage of ranging cycles.

I trade the currently nice trending pairs with the trending system and the ranging pairs via the position building system. Do I get it right all the times? Absolutely Not.

I have included a Daily chart of GU for you to illustrate the market cycles.

oh la la la la, please please dont be offended pipsninja , my thought is you know with perfection what LE1 taught us . Emmanuel is a good trader too. Even me i can trade the 4h , the 30mn , the 15mn , the 5mn and the 1mn with ease. When you know how to trade the 5mn you can trade the 1 mn and all the other time frame. Honestly is better to trade the 5mn , thats my two cents. Its just a misunderstanding between Emma and Pipsninja . Emma is just affraid that the newbee can be confuse about the 5mn but Pipsninja know exactly how to trade this method and thats why he can post his 5mn to show bounces and touch trades. I dont think that there is a better way to explain LE1 method other than what Pipsninja is doing. 15 pips is enought by day to put ur account somewhere.
Continue posting, pipsninja . Big Emmanuel continue posting. WHEN YOU KNOW HOW TO TRADE LE1 METHOD YOU CAN TRADE WITHOUT A STOP LOSS.

Well done for sticking to your guns and not being put off by detractors that have egos larger than their trading skills. Your trading overall including your posts in other threads is showing skill and discipline and thats whats needed to grow your equity, well done to you and good luck

You may wonder, if I am so successful trading the M5 time frame, why have I added other trading systems to my trading arsenal?

I started trading stocks and options back in 2005 without much success and switched to Forex in 2008 until present time. It has been a very long journey with periods of success followed by failure. More downs than ups. My trading started to turn around in 2013 thanks to this thread. The last 10 months have been the most rewarding ever. I have grown my account to a sizable (to me) amount.

It has been mentioned by great traders that going for short distances (pips) in trading is quiet risky and they are right. There is a certain amount (maximum lot size) that I am willing to risk on M5 with a SL ranging between 8-14 pips. I have reached my maximum lot size (for my comfort level) on M5 now.

In order to diversify and compound my account at a reasonable pace to reach financial freedom, I have added other trading systems to my trading arsenal. I have been at it for almost 10 years and don't plan to trade beyond 2020.

Pardon my interruption, but I am confused about your comment to diversify by adding "trading systems". If your systems works, would it not be better to diversify by adding more currency pairs? And since a time frame is just a time frame, would it be better to diversify by placing trades in other time frames using the same technique? Again, sorry, but to me, if it is working, then you need to keep using the same process in different approaches, not add more processes. Multiple your proven exposure across additional market opportunities. Just an idea? Good Luck

Trading 5M charts across many pairs is extremely exhausting (at least for me). Believe me, I tried it and got burnt out. 12 hours of trading with a few 30 minute breaks here and there is exhausting.

Would a single trading system continue to work 5 years from now? I don't know. Would at least one of 3 different trading systems continue to work 5 years from now? Perhaps. I prefer not to put all my eggs in one basket and may weed out a system that doesn't perform up to par.

Do I have many years of live data to support my new direction? NO.

Out of the box thinking has lead me this far and by no means I claim that my ideas will work forever or for everybody else. What works for you may not work for me and vice versa. I have learned to control risk to a certain degree so if my ideas fail the damage wouldn't be catastrophic. I will just dust myself off and get back up.

The 3 moves that you mentioned, are my 3 systems (all on FF for FREE by the way) which none were developed by me. Unconventional thinking? Yes.

I will be the first one to admit that I have made just about every single mistake in trading.

I make enough money on M5 to make a living but financial freedom is another story and I don't plan to trade 10,20,30 years from now. I may drop the systems and return to M5 trading and I will be man enough to come on here and share my experience.

I will never be comfortable trading 20-30+ standard lots on M5 with a SL of 8-14 Pips. I tried spreading the risk and trade many pairs. I did that and it wore me out. I tested the additional systems for a while and have started to trade them live.

You are entitled to your opinion and since we disagree, it doesn't make your idea or mine any righter.

i agree with Drock on that point :If trading is a talent, like say martial arts, then you have it no matter the condition. You can fight in your dojo, competition arena, backyard, alley, bar. Doesn't matter "where" you are, the same moves apply.

What an interesting past 31 hours .

What gets lost here is that I am already making a living from trading and just want to reach the next level. What works for you won't necessary work for me and vice versa. We can't be all put in the same box. Our experiences shape us. Things never stay the same and are in constant motion.

In my humble experience, we have got to get away from this 15 pips a day mentality is all you need (for a living perhaps) but for financial freedom NO.

Try to put on 20-30+ standard lot trade all at once on a M1-M5 scalp on Live MT4 and see what happens to your order. I have tried it in the past and it wasn't pretty. Yes, I have made every mistake in trading once or twice.

I don't have been posting lately.. see many fights going on over all FF, some traders gave up... others perhaps with a different name, carry on posting just to avoid these types of conflicts..

What made me post here and now is to ask you, to please carry on posting your trades, so others can learn from you, you cant gave away just when 1 or 2 people say you cant do this or that... lots of others will appreciate what you have been doing.

I, myself respect Emmanuel, but I believe he is not the owner of this thread and cant boss anyone around. it would be better to PM privately and keep the noise out of this thread,, this noise definitely has nothing to do with trading and does more warm than any one posting in any TF, as long as the template is similar in respect to the great creator of this thread.

Once again I ask you to please ignore all the noise and keep posting here as you are welcome by me and I am sure by a lot more.

Thank you for your supportive post, I used to enjoy your wonderful contributions to this thread. I think EMMA and I are good now and I have learned many things from his teachings.

I agree with you 100% and prefer to move on and just post my few M5 trades that I take here and there. If the mood strikes I may even trade a full session on M5. Just so you know as of now I only trade 2 days a week for income and the other 3 days for fun. I have a new goal and that is Financial Freedom. I will start to crank things back up on Jan. 18th 2016.

Hmm. A few things.

First, I saw you post that you were having success, but wanted to use a different method to expand profit. So, that makes no sense to me.

Secondly, I am not attacking you. That is nuts. I have a business mentality and expansion is best accomplished by replicating yourself per the two suggested methods.

Third, as I explained, the BS rating is not you, duh. How could that be? It is about your method as it pertains to profiting in the market, as it pertains to your ability to employ it. If you think your method is flawed, then your method is BS. Correct? Or if trading 5M charts is wearing you out, then the business plan is BS. Correct? Get rid of the BS parts and be happier.

The whole discussion though is based on your profit. If you are making profit, improve that technique, don't drop it and try something new. Just because you can ride a bike doesn't mean you can fly a plane. You need to write down your strengths and weaknesses and your business goals, and then arrange the three lists into a set of priorities to ignore, improve, or delete from your business.

Anyway, a time frame is a time frame. Perhaps you can start there. What would happen if you traded 15M charts instead of 5M charts? Good Luck
