Agreed. Not sure where this post came from?? Tradeigel, did you incidentally quote the wrong post in your statement above? It didn't make much sense. I've read several of your posts in previous threads, and this doesn't sound like you.

Maybe it was a little to harsh. i was just annoyed by alsup's comments. Why would you post like 20 unnecessary quotation marks and ask if Phoenix is history?! Well, I guess it's not since we're still posting, right? And I think some other guy already said that he's not reading the thread and posting already answered questions and stuff like that. But anyway, I hope his posts will be more helping in the future.

I thought you all left me! At this moment I'm working hard at Phoenix version 3! It's redesigned from top to bottom. As a teaser I've enclosed a one year backward test for the EURUSD (Modeling quality 90%). Stay tuned. I think Phoenix version 3 will surprise you!

I will make this EA only available to those who made or will make a significant contribution to this thread (Tradeigel and Yardie please PM me with your e-mail address).

Hendrick I though you forgot about us! I The backtest results look great 200% return in one year not bad. I would love to see some forward testing results. I will send you my email.

I guess my statements did not meet your expectations. I'm sorry, but I did not mean any dis-respect. No one had been posting and thought people were giving up on Phoenix. For one I think Phoenix is awesome and appreciate everyones imputs to excel it. Yardie has been helpful to me in lots of ways, so txs Yardie.
And Hendrix, I would like to be included in your information, and maybe help in just supporting u guys. I'm learning like everyone else.

Hi Hendrick,
just one suggestion I have is when you backtest I would turn off MM because (at least turn off the Decrease Factor). This skews result often due to different trade sizes. When I backtest I always do fixed lots. Then I compare with MM turned on to see if decrease factor results in better performance.

Fixed lots is good. I dont like to use MM built into EAs I prefer to do my own MM with fixed lots.

Hmmm...now that I look at the settings on your backtest I think you are ok. I thought you were using my MM Module which includes Decrease Factor (it reduces trade sizes when it encounters a stretch of bad trades)....
I think you may want to add this to the EA as option the way I have it. Just don't backtest using that apart from as a reference.

I think MM in general is ok - you never want to trade more than a certain risk percentage and even for backtest that is fine. Just keep the Decrease Factor out and use only for reference just to see how it changes the performance.

By the way the last attachment showed MM=true.

Well I think there was a conflict somewhere. Everything is working now....but not sure what I did to fix it.

I'm wondering if 'somewhere down the road' if you reloaded your demo platform you didn't enable for the EA's to run under your Tools -> Options -> Allow for EA's... I'm not which broker you use. Just curious because I had to do that on my demo FXDD account. I loaded it up momentarily on my live account and it was working. As far as FXDD goes, you have to manually select for auto-trading in the options menu; it's defaulted to off.

Hendrick - glad you're back - we all missed you while you were on holiday!

I tested Phoenix 2.2(1) from 3 August but... it sits on a $1306 loss right now.
I look foreward to a revised version - thanks for your work.

I test phoenix 2.2 with 9pair on demo account and eurusd on real account but it had more looses then winners,
