Anybody know how to make the following on either MT4 or MT5? An exponential moving average (EMA) for the 5 minute chart that is equivalent to a). 20 exponential moving average (EMA) on the 15 minute chart and b). another one that is equivalent to the 20 exponential moving average (EMA) on the hourly chart

Any help would be appreciated

60 EMA on 5M chart = 20 EMA on 15M chart
240 EMA on 5M chart =20 EMA on 60M chart

Not perfect but pretty close.

If you plot H1 EMA on M5 chart, it will show horizontal line between each 12 bars, it will look like a channel.
Is that what are you looking for ?

you can put multiple ema lines into the chart and only show them in a specific tf.
eg.
ema 60 go to visualization tab and select m5.
ema 20 " and select m15.
no coding needed.

if you switch between these tf the correct line will be displayed.

how would you recalculate to have this on 30min chart

20 EMA daily on 30 min chart?
40 EMA 4h on 30 min chart ?
The only thing that will make us successful is if we can control ourselves!

Daily=1440 minutes

Daily 20 EMA on 30M chart = 960 EMA (See charts below)
(1440/30=48)x20=960

4 Hour=240 minutes

40 EMA on 30M chart = 320 EMA

(240/30=8)x40=320
