In the first video - Part 1 (the 18 mn video) - his wife has negative body language and less than enthusiastic responses to the interviewer's questions. It tells me she is probably beaten down by his forex obsession and wishes they had a normal family life.

LOL. The words "beaten down" is a phrase, and it means I think she is probably being driven crazy by his forex obsession. I got the idea in the video that he was spending almost all his time obsessing about forex and I sensed from her her actions and the way she spoke in the video that she was tired of his forex work and would rather he spend more time with her and their kids. ( But I am sure you probably knew what I meant in my previous post. lol. )

I know a scalper, makes around 100-200 pips a month, has drawdowns of say 35 pips max, which allows him to trade with as much as 200 leverage . Started trading in 2012. Only took him just over a year to go from mini lots to $200 a point. I'm the one who introduced him to the Ninjatrader platform. Which proves you don't necessarily need years of experience to become a professional trader.

Millionaire definitely.

I have met an institutional FX trader/ hedge fund manager with a quantitative approach - Buy side.
I do not know any millionaire , billionaire or multi millionaire, I do trading alone without any mentor. I just read success stories of people. I met one or two good traders. They are not much professionals. To be a millionaire in forex is a very difficult it need a lot of time passion and experience to gain this top of business.
Unfortunately I don't know any millionaire in person who trades forex. But they exist, everyone knows that.
Focus on your own path, forget about other millionnaires....be the millionnaire!

Hoeness probably was far from being a trader in the first place. No trading style is known, nobody knows how he could make that much money so fast. Forex experts doubt it's possible. As for the losses nobody even knows they existed. For those who read German 2 more links:

All in all, many questions remain open. Why the self-accusation? Why the "confession" that he was a ludopath? Where did the money go? Are there any broker extracts?, not that I know of.

In the end I think that rather than a trader Hoeness was the hidden cash point of FC Bayern Munich. But that's only my personal opinion
