Hi, Members!

i have been asked many many times of how i trade.
Why should i give out in public years of research, backtesting and countless sleepless nights?
Even if i reveal my whole strategy, it won't be useful to anyone. In fact you will even lose money with it.
In order to avoid that and still be able to help you, i will give you hints for the ones who like to work hard, give up their sleep and time.

As end result you will be able to discover your own pattern and learn to spot and use them.

Following skills are needed to start:
1. Don't trust anyone blindly
2. Question everything
3. Don't look at other people analysis (do your own)
4. Share your own analysis
5. Know that your analysis is the best
6. Don't be afraid to take risks
7. Don't blame to market, blame only yourself
8. There is no one to help you, no one to stop you, no one to hold you back

Let's go!

Nobody knows where the market will go! Therefore i need to get involved in trades with very high R ratio. 1:5 at least.
Many trades i take go to 20-40R intraday.

My target in trades (sell example):
1. Enter around London Open with very tight SL
2. Try to sell the top of the daily candle
3. Anticipate range expansion to the downside
4. Wait until market gives me profits

Good thing about entering at market extremes is that you get tigh SL + i can be all day long on the wrong side of the market and still make money. Demo money ofc....

Hi carbonado!
Looks good for a short term trade. If it runs I would say 7200 first target and 7040 second target. If it doesnt run right away, it may want to retrace higher 7320-7340 before it falls.
I do everything that gives me high R fast. If i position myself at the begining of the week on tip of the weekly wick, i may run it for few hundred pips for the weekly range expansion. But milipede i dont trade anymore, because it doesnt make sense to have a perfect entry and leave it die on BE after 40R run.... Do you think it makes sense?

no it does not make sense...what ever makes you money.......hence......i have a little question to ask.....since you day trade now.....do you with trade basically or it could be counter trend.....provided it gives you signal for an entry......btw......how would you define a trend.......as this seems elementary.....however....95 percent.....i guess this is the one rule they break the most.....sorry for asking to many question........

You have to define first what is trend for you. For me this word is too general. Is it 1min or 5min trend intraday or H1 trend for short term trades (e.g. 1d to 2 weeks) or you target H4/Daily/Weekly for long term trades.
I do look on HTFs before trading session. HTFs give me directional bias. But sometimes setups are too juicy not to take without HTF bias.
I would say i trade swings nowadays. From top to bottom and vice versa. For that matter i define first what is my dealing range. Will it be 1d , 1week or just that nice previous swing on H1. Then i anticipate a scenario and stick to it until price reacts as expected.

Thanks for the response TRD....However. ...i have another question...how would you answer that the lower time frame is noise and HFT have taken over the lower time frame and would you say the lower time frame allows you to trade relatively heavily based on quantity or size.....I promise not to ask a other question for today...lol....and am expecting more charts from you...tThanks again.....

LTF is not noise. It gives you important information of what is happening in the market right now. Before a run in either direction, market sets up. If you look closely you will identify accumulation of orders, price stalls, price spikes into liquidity pools etc. Only this gives you enough clues to enter on same TF and run your trade for a 1:1 or 1:2 or 1:3 at least. You could even set to BE. If you have additional bias like HTF, you can let it run for longer time depending on the HTF setup and other factors. You could trade same way on HTF. It just takes more time for a trade to work out.
So all TFs represent same story, just different scale. You decide how to order them to suit your lifestyle better.
For me advantage of LTF is that they give you more R vs Time, because of limitation of Time factor. (e.g. Daily range cannot be more than 100 pips, Weekly range cannot be more than 400...) you get my point

Hi. I'm new. I'd like to subscribe to your thread but first I have a quick question:

Quote
Disliked
Following skills are needed to start:
1. Don't trust anyone blindly
2. Question everything

From what everyone tells me the top two points in your first thread are very important.

I thought I should follow your advice and ask:

Are you a long term profitable trader and if so can you provide some evidence of this? If not and you're just sharing the way you're trade, then that's cool but I think it'd be good to get some clarification so we know whether to study your methods or if we are just discussing ideas.

Many thanks
