Oh well since you are in scalping thread maybe you should reduce your tf and use the same setups on 1m-5m, would give you plenty of time to react and smaller sl's.

1.1460 still not out of reach. Maybe my sl will hold it for a few more Red wins over blue. Anyway, if it breaches any of the 0 levels, the short or long move is invalidated for me for the rest of the day.

Don't take toooooo much advice from me today, because I pissed all over my self, but you said you are not a scalper, and that you have a crappy inet connection and that you can't be in front of the screen for hours straight....hmmmm...OK.

Have you considered using LIMIT orders to have the market come towards you at your key points? This way they just sit and wait and if they miss, so what, no risk, you are trading at prices and terms YOU determine in advance by doing this. Sure, you'll miss a few entries, but better than chasing it later? A few of the guys are pure scalpers here and they use LIMIT orders exclusively to get in at the price and level they want, sometimes they miss by a pip, so what...next trade!

most of the days, price always comes back to the daily pivot.. i was hoping for 1.14 to resist well and the ride up will turn to swing and come back to daily pivot.. and it happened(since im saying this after it happened, i know it has no credit, but it doesnt matter)..
just like this, i shorted after the ride up to an important level and placed TP just above daily pivot last friday, but it didnt turn to a swing..
if i believed in superstitions, i would say "its bcoz i didnt short today's top, that price swung back to daily pivot".. hahaha

Timing is not always an exact science, and you have to have a plan B in case it doesn't swing back when you expected. Find your errors and work on them, just like coding or sports or anything else that requires a certain skill set. The thing with trading is that "the MARKET is ALWAYS RIGHT" you can't question it, the minute you, we anyone does, slam.

btw anyone back long here? i covered at 75 and long at 77

ya, i was not sure how to execute it last week.. but i found some threads here in FF that showed me how.. but i have never used it before, so i'm hesitating.. i'll try them out after my current ordeal is taken care of.. Thank you..

DEFINITELY use them, they fit YOUR style of trading. I saw the chart you uploaded. Use limits to get closer to your desired level.

And don't learn them on a live acct. Use a demo, even if the live acct is micro, don' f around with real money, you can't respect the markets unless you respect the money first. Take it from someone who's f'd around a lot in a lot of years with it.

Ask any of the REAL traders here and they will tell you SIM first, DEMO first, don't f* with real money trading until you are confident because the market is a __________ fill in the blank with any word, that WILL take your money if you let it. But it will reward you if you are diligent and protect it at all costs.

And scalping online is the hardest and the highest level (of difficulty) of trading there is in this business.

Man I hope you don't take this as an insult but you gotta respect the live money involved even if it is .01 lot, you can't just say "it's only .01 so no biggie" you gotta respect what the market will do with and to that money. I only say this because...I have those issues myself, I always have, and it is a hindrance, because when you have more, you will continue to say, "it's only 1.0 lot or it's only 3500.00 no biggie". It's all relative...Last month I took 200.00 and it dropped to 29 dollars and I ran that up to 4200 in 8 days, only to overtrade it with no stops with it. True story, embarrassed to say. You gotta respect the money

ya, i'll definitely try them out.. but its surprising when u say "yous style of trading", bcoz i dont have a style, its just random and based on instincts.. i'll see if limits orders suit my style.. Thank you..

I have to disagree I never traded demo, you won't learn how to trade real money there, it's waaaay different. You have to blow up your account, go through margin call etc. It's the part of the process. If you're a beginner trade the real money, just use micro lots or low lev. Real money teaches discipline, demo not.

no, i understand.. i have issues with money management, i know.. i thought i passed it, but it seems i didnt.. i overtraded, but thankfully, i didnt overleverage..
and i'm thankful for you guys to put out time to educate me during busy trading LON-NY session..

I agree with the feel of live vs real trading...different world. But what I mean to say is that if you can't trade consistently well on demo, there's no way in hell that you're ready for live. Of course if you can score on the demo, why not try to nail it with live too?

I bet you're the kind of guy that learned how to swim by getting thrown into the ocean (not kidding that's how my pops learned).

OH and if you're trying a new trading method or learning how to place limit orders, save yourself some money and do it on demo first, because you will mess it up a few times and you shouldn't have to pay for that kind of error. There are no mistakes allowed and no refunds given for bad transactions.

I am willing to concede if it helps you go out and gives me a better price at 1.1350. Below 1.1341 will look for shorts to 1.1290-1.1260, but I still think the day has not finished before getting my tp done. Btw I am against demo unless you only want to test limit/stop orders. It's like taking the blue pill. You have to be humbled with a few big losses, blown accounts, etc in order to start using sl and stop positions (yeah press the little X button) when they don't work.

Oh man you guys are harsh but true and hilarious too. We should start a thread on ALL of the trading mistakes we've lived through and want to avoid, mental errors, technical errors, computer errors, broker errors or misses, etc...

ya, when i started forex trading, my broker suggested me to use demo and get the feel of it.. then go to live.. i traded demo for a month.. he introduced me to FF too.. almost everyone here said live is so much different to demo, starting with spread, and mental stress from using real money, and all the greed, fear and such will involve in live trading.. so, from the next month, i went live.. i ended everyday in profit, until the fateful day lol..

oh i have been humbled.. i never actually blew up my account fully though.. lost 80% three times.. but i never could press the X button, unless the lot size is larger.. and now i'm back for more..

My biggest mistake was using blue fibs for up and red for down, while it should be the other way around

Entered some GU too, has potential to not hit my sl within 5 minutes. Damn... stopped in 4 minutes.

looking for retrace to 11404 if it reaches there , with a view on the US index . The US index looks very positive and it may drag EUR/USD further down.

One reason for that is a retrace on Dollar to 94.65-70 > EU to the price he mentioned.
