What is the Best News Trading Broker

Hotforex is offering news from Trading Central for their trader, I think this is not best news trading broker but the news and signals from TC would be useful for trader's orders.

I am a regular news trader. Still looking for a better broker with fixed spread, no time limit, less requote... and I almost given up hunting as it seems non exist. Please, if you know any, I would like to try one.

I have seen some people mentioning Alpari so here are my thoughts.

I have a recent experience trading news on alpari-forex (this is the former Alpari NZ that moved from NZ to St. Vincent). My account is absolutely being destroyed by negative slippage so for that matter I believe they are NOT trustworthy for trading the news.

Here's an example: I enter a trade some time before the news and pre news volatility moves the market over my stop loss. It does not take me out right away but waits for several seconds for the news to come out (when it already should have taken me out because stop loss has been met). When the news come out, if the move was positive it takes me out on the stop loss price. If it was negative it takes me out with a huge slippage on a worst possible price. EVERY TIME. The slippage was never in my favor.

This is obvious sing that they are intentionally delaying execution to profit from the difference on your expense. For that reason I would say to stay clear of Alpar-Forex. UK based Alpari might be better due to regulatory bodies, but I never tried it. Also, spread is considerably wider. My advice would be to stay clear of Alpari-forex in general.

If you want to trade the news you need to be aware of how much spread widens pre and post news release you are trading for a specific pair. I suggest observing the spreads trough some online service like myfxbook live spreads.

For those who mentioned FXCM and Oanda - my observations were that these brokers are useless for news trading because their spreads widen 15-25 pips and more during some news releases.

You make a great point that anyone who decides to trade the news has to be prepared for the fact that spreads can widen dramatically and that the risk of slippage is greater during news events.

While it's true that FXCM's spreads can widen during news event*, it's also true that FXCM's platforms have tools to help you minimize your negative slippage and maximize your positive slippage. (Note that positive slippage is more likely to occur with limit orders than with stop orders due to the momentum of price movement when such order types are triggered.)

As an example, consider the enhancements we made to the Maximum Deviation feature on our MT4 platform:

The maximum deviation feature was originally designed to control slippage - both negative and positive - in the following way. When creating an order, a number is specified in tenths of a pip (≥0) in the max deviation field. This number is the maximum amount of slippage the order can receive. If the market price moves beyond this amount while the order is executing, the order will cancel automatically. Note that this is how the maximum deviation feature was originally designed to function, not how it functions with FXCM.

FXCM trading policy allows for unlimited positive slippage on all order types. Therefore, FXCM has developed a way to override the restriction that the maximum deviation feature places on positive slippage. All orders placed on the FXCM MetaTrader 4 platform fill with the greatest amount of positive slippage possible.

In the event that an order fills with positive slippage beyond the maximum deviation, the platform logs a message in the "Journal" tab. The message has the following format: $ {Amount} - Positive Slippage - {Order Number}. $ {Amount} is the positive slippage the order received beyond the maximum deviation.

If the market price moves negatively beyond the maximum deviation, the order cancels automatically. When this occurs, an "Off Quotes" message is displayed. This is a standard MetaTrader 4 message notifying the user that an order canceled because the market price deviated beyond the order setting.

* We can only fill your orders and prices that we ourselves can get from our liquidity providers. Any broker that doesn't widen their spreads in such situations is not reflecting the true prices available in the market, and may re-quote you if filling your order at their displayed price would result in a loss for them. There are no re-quotes with FXCM.

Sorry but what do you define a best news trading broker? No slippage when news release?

I am currently looking into switching to fixed spread vs ECN. For the second time I got stopped out on 5/5/2015. I was long audnzd and the news hit after being in the black for 100+ pips I got stopped out with few pip loss, importantly mis sing on a 1000 pip swing. Would having a fixed spread account prevented that?thanks for your feedback, I am medium to long term trader and have no interest in trading news but I got burned twice within the past year on audio trades by news

No, I just did a spread comparison of the advantages of having fixed spreads during a news release. However, that's not to say there aren't any other disadvantages. How do you compensate for having fixed spreads? You'll get slipped and hear people complain about slippage.

Now Tradersway a very good broker,spread,withdraw,execution are the best in the market and they have the most trusted man in forex field ( Joe Carney )he help you with anything,if you want to trade the news just wait for the spike to begin,enter the market when at lease 30% retracement (follow the initial spike),yes the spread will widen during the news release but it back to normal a few second after the news release in tradersway MT4.

Some broker hold their widen spread more than 2 minute but not tradersway,if you used straddle you need tradersway fix account,try your self friend and you will know what i mean.
Slippage is not make by the broker,slippage happen when the big boy,hedge fund and bank with million dollars trade enter the market,if need more knowledge about it go to Jarrat Davis website (best second trader 2011-2013)ex hedge fund.

I've news traded before and constantly got slipped, It didn't matter if it was with an ECN or Marketmaker my trading environment changed as soon as I made a bit of money. I ended up down in the end and my advice to new traders is to stay away from news trading and focus your energy on other trading strategies that avoid news announcements.

I am also news trader . How about xm?. Anybody experience with xm?
