I think this is caused by having too much capital at risk, over trading ones account. I know because i did it myself when i began trading, as well as all the other classic mistakes. Most people would be better off risking less% of account, fewer trades, correct sl and tp management. This is relatively easy to do when you are totally comfortable with the risk, as opposed to being over leveraged, the difference in emotional stress is huge. Pro traders above all else manage risk, the profits will come through compounding. Safe trading all.

Only if you're out of sync [with yourself]. That, it turn, applies to the vast majority, so technically you're right. But what really is a good thing to do is study psychology - a little more than common trading advice advocates :nerd:

It's no coincidence that there's a word for it - overthinking. In trading it's one of the main problems for those that are analytical and more methodic - markets are the opposite of this, but to understand their basic functionalities you need to be analytical in the first place. So a bit of a conflict there, but one that can be overcome with time.

One should not ignore the thoughts and feelings that arise during trading. Often these are messages from your subconscious mind trying to warn you of something. Listen intently to what you might be thinking then decide for yourself if the message should be heeded.
