Disliked{quote} is that at 1.1318 ? I have a long from 44 was in at 18 and just got out and back in...targeting 1.1270 about 95 pips from today's low.Ignored
Dislikedshort at 1.12397, TP 1.12297 for 10 pips.. expecting a retrace.. edit: forgot to mention SL 1.12497.. give or take 10 pips..Ignored
Disliked{quote} TP moved to BE.. EDIT: closed with little loss at 1.12415.. Question: do u guys ever move TP to BE? or just the SL? thanks in advance..Ignored
Disliked{quote} Usually only move SL, taking profits now for overriding reasons is also usually done, but TPs are usually set unless miscalculated at first. Others may do it differently, but the times that I move TP to a smaller TP than originally planned are always times that I regret not holding and letting the trade plan take me out. Another circumstance might be to close trades earlier than TP say on a Friday evening or late night before midnight if you don't wish to pay swaps.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Thanks.. i didnt move my SL to BE bcoz i feared it would be hit.. but i also didnt want to close trade and take profit, bcoz its only 5 pips and i aimed for 10 pips.. but it went back.. luckily, i closed with -2 pips loss..Ignored
Disliked{quote} Both of those are very dangerous, trust me i know from personal experience. The SL is there to be hit, either by loss or BE, sometimes in scalping they are soft TPs, you have to know what to do in advance according to your style (this goes under "trade management', that along with money management can make or break accurate entry signals and trades). You have to allow your methodology to do one or the other on every trade, otherwise you are stuck psychologically in "no man's land" a very dangerous place to be while live scalping a fast market....Ignored
Disliked{quote} Yeah, I outlined a possible scenario of going to 70 today based on avg daily ranges and PA this morning, but of course imagining and doing are two very different things. Had I stuck to only 2 scenarios, one going to 70 and the other going to 1.1115ish, I wouldn't have whipped myself to death today. Overall pips were positive, very positive, but overall trading and satisfaction with my performance today...very very not happy. I really need to settle down and work on trade management and money management (those are two different other threads),...Ignored
DislikedQuoting sanvulture short at 1.12397, TP 1.12297 for 10 pips.. expecting a retrace.. edit: forgot to mention SL 1.12497.. give or take 10 pips.. TP moved to BE.. EDIT: closed with little loss at 1.12415.. Question: do u guys ever move TP to BE? or just the SL? thanks in advance.. in my opinion it is logical to bring the loss to BE. Nobody wants to BE in profits.😄Ignored
DislikedPreviously I thought about 1st scenario, then came second... Honestly dunno what's gonna happen next. If they still wanna compress in that triangle they should drop now to lower band and mark proper 5 now but I'd be careful with that as the money flows into commodities for a few days. Scalping is still safer for me on this pair. {image} {image}Ignored
