Well the name of the thread is VSA


1st. A test is in the air by definition, - it small bar with a thin spread and low volume retesting an area of high or UH volume
and its of use to me lol

2nd. A test that is not testing anything is not a test lol
it maybe no supply or no demand bar

very simple and standard stuff really

What are you talking about?
From my understanding its not a test - period - by VSA rules.
if its not a test - it can not be testing
I have a lot to learn still - so if its a test I do not know or understand
show me the teaching.

I have seen them watch this area in video but again in VSA a "test" is term used or somethings
But also to be honest - it to complex for me lol

It may be a sign but again from my study its not a VSA test that is all I am saying

you, since you are addressing others as ladies in most of your posts:

Tests led me a merry dance in the beginning. At that point I didn't understand fully that one needs to understand the background & more importantly to spot supply / demand coming into the market first.

In almost all cases I have spotted what I call a "top test". Supply enters the market, it moves sideways for a bit, tests then they run up hard to run the stops.

It is like a preliminary warning. Then I have to further analyze for weakness & supply outweighing demand.
Tests should fail & supply on Shake out bars cause the market to be marked down.
This indicates that support has been withdrawn, after that, any mark up seems to be used to test for supply.
If a bull trap appears or the market volume diminishes while moving up, it is a good time (for me) to short the market.

I wish it was always that simple, but mostly it works for me

I found what "polar bear" speaks of -
Some VSA -Wyckoff traders speak of a bar out of place -most often an island reversal as a
polar bear in Africa (or Hawaii) or a palm tree in Antarctica
As this bar/candle formation - is a double gap - and so almost never happen in forex, I never heard of this term.



By the way tomorrow is NFP everyone should be very careful

Another textbook VZA entry on 15-min chart of AUD futures. On the upper boundary (the upper green line) of the one-hour highest volume zone from Oct 2nd, a 2BR formed.

That test is a pure VSA test.

Still, tests come in many shapes & form, don't stick to one definition, you will lose trades.

there are many ways to test - but only one "test"
in all ways you want the test to be clear "in the air

And what is TUM ?

TUM - Trap up Move - 2 bar pattern

TB - high volume or better ultra high volume
- Wide spread
- Mid close
- Next bar confirms

AU long
H1 nice uptrend, breaking through round number 0.715, then low volume test closing on middle (testing previous HV bar + potential sellers on round number) entry on close above the test, targetting next round number

This chart was posted by HG in post no.26977 of this thread, can anyone or HG (haven't seen HG for a while) please tell how these "Aggression" bars are rated, i.e, "Level 3 Buying Aggression" & "Level 2 Selling Aggression". Is such level rating based on spread & volume?

is the aggression (which I read as pressure) on level 3 higher than on a level 2?

can anyone or HG (if you are reading) please tell me how you are doing this?
